Mist awoke some time later with a jolt. She felt like she'd just had a terrible nightmare, but couldn't remember a thing about it, and worse yet, she couldn't remember a thing of what happened to her before she'd passed out. Mist felt unusually frightened when she got up, her legs shaking like her body was trying to tell something was wrong. But aside from that, she felt completely normal, still wearing her usual yellow and blue clothing.
"What's happened to me?" Mist wondered aloud. She looked around and saw that she was in some kind of rocky terrain, in an area that stretched on for what seemed like forever. Above her, Mist could see huge towering stalks of green, that were bigger than any tree she'd ever seen in her life, in fact, these green stalks were bigger than ANYTHING she'd ever seen before. But somehow, the sheer size of the green towers didn't frighten Mist at all. Instead, it was the fact that she'd forgotten how she got to this alien-looking location in the first place that made her most afraid.
The last thing she could remember was taking magic lessons from Rhys, and then they were both going to go eat lunch together, but everything after that was a blur to the little girl. She couldn't even remember leaving the camp. However, Mist did remember the area the group had set up camp, and she was sure that there were places anything like this nearby.
C-Could it have been an ambush!? Mist thought with worry. She was afraid that the group, or maybe just herself, had been the victims of an enemy ambush, and that maybe she was being taken captive by the Daein's or some other foes. But then again, it made little sense to the little girl that her abductors would just leave her here in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere.
Suddenly a strong breeze blew by, Mist could hear the wind's howl a few seconds before the force of the breeze hit her. Taken by surprise, Mist was knocked off her feet by the powerful wind and knocked onto her back.
"Ow!" Mist cried as she fell. While on the ground, Mist had a good chance to look up above her at the green towering stalks, to her amazement, the gigantic objects shook in the wind. Mist was baffled by this, that such huge objects could be shaken by the mere breeze of the wind. For herself it made some sense, if there was a valley or canyon nearby, the wind could indeed become strong enough to blow her away. But there incredible monoliths of green? Mist could hardly believe they were shaken so easily.
"Th-This place is too weird. I-I need to get back to Ike and the others..." Mist told herself. She got up and dusted herself off, and then set off walking to see if she could possibly get her bearings around here.
As she walked along the rocky path, Mist took notice of how odd the stones she was walking on were, all were round and small, but some were big enough that she needed to climb over them or simply go around them. She'd been on mountains and in deserts before, but she'd never seen such a long stretch of land that contained so many small, round rocks. It was hard for the brunette girl to get across.
Mist continued on the weird area for a long time, nearly half an hour passed as she kept walking and climbing through it, but somehow Mist never felt like she making any progress. The rocks below stayed much the same in shape but elevated up or dipped down sometimes, and the huge green stalks around her were spread out sporadically and surrounded much of the mountain-like pass. The wind's strong gusts blew occasionally, each time they came Mist had to brace herself to keep falling down again, but even this didn't always work, and Mist often ended up on her behind.
"Th-This is hard work... I wonder if I'm close to the end..." Mist panted as she started to get tired. To make matters worse for the young healer, she was still feeling hungry from missing lunch and all this walking was only making her hungrier, not to mention thirsty. Mist prayed that she'd make it back to camp soon...
