This choice: You’re so thirsty! You drink it before paying! • Go Back...Chapter #4You’re so thirsty! You drink it before paying! by: GassiPals You realize suddenly that your throat is like coarse sandpaper. The walk must have really gotten to you, as when you try to even swallow, it's as if no saliva can be produced. Your intense thirst takes over, and without thinking about it you yank the glass of lemonade from the mare and gulp it down in seconds.
She stares, mouth agape, for a few moments, before decidedly shifting into an angered scowl.
"Hey! You pay for it first, thief!"
Any remnant of her bright, friendly demeanour seems to have dissolved entirely, as she barks angrily at you.
"Sorry. I was just so thirsty, I have-"
"No! I've seen this trick pulled a hundred times before. Your money is fake. You just did that so you can hand me a false bit, run off and by the time I've realized, you're gone."
"No, I swear! My money is-"
"Bullshit." She says fiercely. She's really convinced you're a criminal. It would have probably been better to just pay her first.
"If you try and run I'll call the police! We need to do something about your punishment."
Punishment!? She hasn't even given you a chance to offer her your bit!
"Really, you can have all my money if you want to make up for th-"
"Enough. You can try to save your flank all you want, but I've already had stock stolen by low-life criminal scum like yourself. Looks like I've finally got one of you right where I want you."
"Look, I'm here to work with-"
"I said enough." She silences you. It's obvious no matter what you say, her mind is already made up. Maybe when she's cooled down it'll be easier to make her see reason.
She heads back behind her lemonade stand and prepares another glass of lemonade, only into this one she squeezes a few droplets from some strange looking vial.
"Okay. Now this one's on the house. Drink it all." She slides the glass towards you, a malicious smile crawling over her face.
So now she wants to drug you? You're not even sure what the hell it is she put in the drink. Still, it's obvious that there's no convincing this pony. You take the glass and begin to drink it.
"All of it! Don't leave a drop!" She slams her hoof against the stall, getting the brief attention of a few passing ponies.
You reluctantly finish it off, placing the empty glass back down.
"What was that?"
"Don't worry." She smiles, "In a few seconds, you'll have a pretty good idea."
Before you can ask her a further question, you begin to feel strange. Your senses start to numb, and your eyes grow unnaturally heavy.
"Wh-What...." You try to say, but before another word can even leave your mouth, you fall asleep. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
