Nopony, and follow the sign by yourself

Nothing wrong with trying to follow your own intuition.

You head down the street the sign directs you to, feeling the crowd lessen around you as you pass through a more residential part of Ponyville.

After making one wrong turn, then the right one, then proceeding down a slightly creepy-looking alleyway, you find yourself outside the Noble Pony. Looks like your directional skills aren’t too shabby after all.

You enter, the warm and rich atmosphere of the inn readily apparent. There’s the sound of clinking glasses, laughter, even somepony playing an old piano somewhere in the boisterous crowd.

If you’re going to book a room for the night, the bar seems like the best place to ask, though before you reach the bar itself, your attention is drawn to a circle of stallions off into the left wing of the building around a table.

“Okay, So which ‘a you scaredy ponies wants to try me on next? I already told y’all I can drink cider ‘till the cows come home!”

The circle breaks slightly, and you see that this southern-tinged voice is coming from a mare! An orange mare with a plaited mane and a large brown cowboy hat, wiping the residue of a glass of cider from her lips, looking around eagerly for a stallion to step up to the challenge.

You’re quite surprised to see a mare out-drink such burly, largely-built colts and Stallions, but she seems to be pretty unmatched so far. You did always have a knack at drink-offs yourself.

Now wasn’t the time to be distracted by hoydenish cowgirls, though, or was it?
