"I'm really getting tired of this, why am I even down here?" Kara whines as she moves through the tunnel
"Because if the information is correct the alien could tear humans to shreds easily, and you didn't have anything else to do right now" Alex replies over coms
Kara sighs "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait I see something. No clue what you are, but you're coming with me" she leaps at the creature who starts flailing, spines shooting from a ridge in neck, jabbing into Kara's neck before she could slam it into the wall, knocking it unconscious "I got it Alex, coming up" she calls, then retraces her steps to get back to the entrance where Alex was waiting with a cage
"Great, this is why you were called sis" Alex smiles as she opens the box for Kara to put the creature in "Do you want me to take a look at those?" she offers, Kara shakes her head and yanks the barbs with barely a flinch
"i'm good see, now I need to head into work and you have an escaped alien to catagorise and examine. Here's some free samples" she passes the spines to Alex before flying off to CatCo. Landing in the alley she takes the bag containing her Kara Danvers clothes and puts them on over her Supergirl costume, except the cape which is left where she'd hidden her clothes previously.
As she takes the stairs Kara feels her neck begin to itch, as well as dizziness which comes and goes as she gets higher. She was actually just about to reach her floor when the stairway began to spin, leaning against the wall for stability Kara began to worry, did someone get her with something, were the creature's spines poisonous? She needed to call Alex, but her eyelids were getting heavy, she can always just call later.... Kara's legs give out and she slumps against the wall, passing out to the point she was basically dead to the world.
About 10 minutes later a young boy was making his way up the stairs, he preferred to do so as it gave him time to think and meant he didn't have to interact with people as much, Carter was making his way up when he stops, seeing something odd just before he stepped on it. Stepping back and leaning over to pick it up, he saw it was a small doll, maybe 5 inches tall and reminding him of his mom's assistant, tied back blond hair, cute glasses, prominent curves emphasised by a short skirt and tight shirt, from what he could tell it was like someone made a Kara Danvers doll, but why was it left out here?
What now?
1) Carter decides if it was left out in the open he'll take it, examining the tiny girl, getting even more interested when he discovered how lifelike/anatomically correct she was, as well as what was beneath her shirt besides 2 still quite large breasts
2) Curious, Carter brings his new toy to Cat, hoping she'll let him keep it
3) While the tiny girl caught his attention he did have other things to do, so puts Kara in his book bag and continues on, he can properly check out doll Kara when he gets home
