Madison, a short girl with raven hair, sat in the middle seat of the middle section of the plane as it flew over the Pacific Ocean. She was rather slim, and she felt it lent to her being forgetful. A stewardess had not been over to her despite pressing the call button, and the people on either side of her blocked her view of everything but what was in front of her. She sighed, took out her travel pillow, and took a nap.
~~~
Madison was rocked from her sleep by something, it threw her around in the cabin. She hadn't had her seatbelt on, due to being in the middle. Her vision was blurred as she caught her head from hitting the wall, there was screaming, crying, panicking, and still no one noticed Madison. She blinked and again she was thrown as the plane drastically changed direction. This time she didn't catch her head, and she blacked out.
~~~
Madison woke up, her skin felt hot, but only on her face. Her eyes slowly peeled open. She raised her hand to cover them from the beaming sun, and took in her surroundings. She was on a beach. Fragments of aircraft aluminum surrounded her. She felt something odd. She was wearing a life jacket. How had she gotten it on? She wondered, but her conclusion was simple. Someone had noticed she wasn't wearing one and put one on her, saving her life. She felt glad, but upset that this is what it took to get noticed. She took a minute to think if she felt anything, which, she didn't. She slowly sat up and looked around the beach. The ocean in front of her was blue, the gentle waves lapping at the white sands. Behind her, was a forest. It looked... odd. Something was off about it. Madison slowly stood up, glad that she was still mobile, and went towards it.
She first noticed the smell. The forest smelled sweet. Not like a pine sweet or maple or some other kind of plant, but sweet as in made with sugar. She approached the closest tree, and inspected it. It looked like a tree from afar, but up close... it looked like chocolate? Madison pointed her finger and scraped off some of it, and- not knowing what else to do- tasted it.
It was chocolate alright. She was surprised to say the least. She then dug her fingers in and tore of a piece of the tree. It looked more like chocolate bark than tree bark, if that makes sense. Madison took a bite and sure enough, still chocolate! She didn't know what to think, she looked around quickly: The trees were chocolate, the grass under the trees were gummy, the berries on the bushes hard candies, the rocks further ahead were cakes.
Everything past the sand was some kind of sweet!
