Chapter #4

Pairing Off

Carl's grip on Jennifer's make-up bag slipped the moment the entity most closely identified as 'Magic' made it's decision. 'Magic', you see, had been called into this reality by a wish to "that something would happen this week to fix this mess!". Who made it, Magic wasn't sure, it all happened in a bit of a rush to be honest. All it knew was that it was in this reality now and it was being drawn towards some sort of emotional circus somewhere nearby.

So Magic took a pretty quick look around the place. While it had no real sense of aesthetics, Magic thought the house looked pretty nice, cozy, it supposed. But then it felt the emotional trauma happening pretty much...everywhere within the structure. It wasn't a pleasant feeling and magic simply did not have time to deal with it, even though the concept of time didn't really apply to Magic, even in it's original reality. The whirlwind of emotions, at the strained glance Magic was willing to give it was that the two human females liked each other, but harbored far more resentment towards the human males. The human males were fond of each other's company, and found the females to tiresome. There was also a younger human female and a younger human male also on the property but Magic, frankly, was harboring a bit of a grudge since the younger female was the one that dragged it into this mess.

So, two human males that preferred each other to the females, two females that preferred each other to the males and forget the younger two humans. Clearly this was what it was supposed to solve before it would be allowed to be released back to it's own reality.

Because this is what I am, apparently. I'm a marriage councilor Is what Magic would have said to itself, had it any real grasp of the concept of snark, or knew what a marriage councilor was. It very quickly decided what to do, feeling a tremor ripple through it's untangible mass as it's equivalent of a headache began. With a pulse of energy that altered the entirety of the human reality, it curled up and began to go to sleep, hoping to head off the metaphysical migraine before it hit.

Carl Fischel was now Carly Veltman, young and attractive. Her formerly early balding, slightly hunched pale body was straightened and smoothed, rejuvenated blonde hair hanging down past her shoulders and impressive breasts almost bursting out of a blue sundress. Her glasses shifted from being a requirement for driving to stylish black shades and her full lips were painted red with lipstick. And she had gone from loading luggage into an SUV to having her slender, tanned arms wrapped around the bulky trunk of Randy Veltman, her husband.

Meanwhile, Norma Veltman instantly became Norman Johnson, her slender, aging female form immediately bulking to an appearance not unlike Hugh Jackman. Her hair vanished to a buzzcut hidden under a ballcap, her muscles strained against a polo shirt instead of breasts against a sundress, and instead of women's sandals there were instead two slightly worn sneakers. Suddenly luggage appeared in his hands as Jennifer's arms slipped around one of his muscled limbs.

There. You all get to be with the people you like.Try it for one week. If it gets fixed, everything goes back to normal. If it doesn't, then I can't fix it and I'll send you a bill.

And with that, Magic was 'gone', at least for a week.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Only Carly and Norman realize the change

*Noteb*
2. Only Randy and Jennifer Realize the change

3. Wait, what about the kids?

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
