The azure dragon is true to his word

"Let's see, he cooked up. So the kitchen." The azure dragon says as he set Ashe on his shoulder. "Just hang on and try not to fall off."

Ashe nods as he holds onto the torn up coat the azure dragon wore. As they made their way toward the kitchen, it became clear this azure dragon knew how to be stealthy. What he was locked up for was becoming quite the question.

The kitchen was empty but the stove and oven were warming up, indicating someone would soon return. Ashe looked around and patted the azure dragon's cheek and pointed to a cage hanging in the corner. "There." He said.

There was a nod from the azure dragon as he cautiously made his way to the corner. He could hear the staff and a few guards setting up the large dining hall in preparations for dinner. Inside the cage were two children, about age eight. The azure dragon was silent as he opened the cage and removed both children despite their yelps of fear.

The sound was enough to catch one of the servant's attention. He shuffled toward the kitchen and flung the door open. Scanning the room, he saw nothing. Shaking his head he went back to tending to the dining hall.

--
Saber mentally sighed as he saw the servant leave. He had managed to squeeze himself in between two large shelves that stored sacks of assorted ingredients. Carefully he made his way back to the door he had used earlier and slipped out.

He patted his midsection as he felt the three humans moving around within him. Saber didn't like the idea of putting them there but the more they moved, more he warmed up to the idea. They would be fine so long as he got them out before too much time passed. And he intended to do such. But first was their escape.

The azure dragon was a master of stealth and easily managed to work his way through the castle remaining unseen. Once he found a suitable escape he went with it. Out a sewage pipe and straight into the foul underbelly of the dragon kingdom. He shook off all the sewage from his body before finding an out of the way area.

After a moment, he held a hand up to his snout and gently spat the three humans into his awaiting hand. "Sorry about. But couldn't have you three making noise they'd hear or getting left behind." Saber stated as he looked them over. None of them were hurt, just a bit shaken and covered with a mix of his saliva and stomach bile. "Anyways, I suppose this is where we part ways." He added as he set the three on the ground and turned to leave.
--
"Wait!" Ashe called out. He saw the azure dragon pause and look over his shoulder at them. "There's no way we can survive in the dragon kingdom, not at our size."

"How's that my problem?"

Ashe thought quickly. "We can be of use to you. We're small, can get into hard to reach spots. You're a master of stealth, how about taking on some partners?"

The azure dragon rubbed his chin thinking. "Aside from getting into hard to reach spots, what else can you offer? I don't exactly have any way of transporting you three."

Kaden, the eight year old boy, stepped forward. "I can brew potions and other medicines."

The azure dragon arched an eyebrow. He mumbled for a moment about needing potions and how he'd be useful. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I'll make you three a deal. If he can make a potion that makes you able to survive in my stomach, I'll take you on as my partners. And if not, well, guess that's the end of this."

Ashe looked to his younger brother. He trusted Kaden completely. Kaden thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah, I can make one." He said. There was a pause as he looked around. "Where's Lily?" He asked.

The azure dragon groaned. "You two make that potion, I'll see about finding her." He said before walking off.

About two hours had passed and the azure dragon returned. Ashe looked hopefully at first but that hope soon faded when the dragon shook his head. "Sorry mate, near as I can tell she must've slipped into the waters while we were talking."

"Done!" Kaden says as he hands Ashe a bottle. "We should be just fine now."

The boys drank down their potions and gave the azure dragon a thumbs up.
--
Saber picked them up and dropped them into his jaws. He closed his mouth and swallowed, sending the two humans into his stomach. Once they landed, he patted his midsection. "Get comfy, going to be a long ride." He sighed slightly then smiled. "Name's Saber."

"I'm Ashe and this is Kaden, my younger brother." The older of the two humans stated.
