I've written a few characters for this one you can go with them or pick your own.
Leon and Dracknor.
Leon is a kind companionate and hard working seventeen year old orphan who has spent his life with his soul partner. He believes that things should always be done the hard way with no shortcuts. He's always willing to lend a helping hand or listen to someone's problems and is even more willing to find a solution. People in his village always praise him for being able to bond with a dragon something that was thought to be nothing more then a fable. But he is often to modest to admit that he deserves any praise and often wonders to himself if he even has any right to be linked with a dragon. He hasn't done anything to earn it. But whenever these thoughts pop into his head he just reminds himself that he just has to prove himself and that's something that his partner admires but will never admit.
Dracknor one the other hand is smug, arrogant and condescending to the lesser species (his words for humans) around him. He claims to have been bonded with great kings and leaders in the past and as such demands to be worshipped and adored by the other villages, but never touched or bad mouthed as he feels these bugs (he has more then one word for humans) are unworthy to be in his present. He detests his partner's choice in simple clothing while he is dressed in fine robes and adorned with jewelry made from gold and precious stones as big as a house ( he wont part with them to help out the villagers.) And the worse part is he often gets what he wants despite his partner's protest. Dracknor may be a smug prick but he's still a dragon that stands hundreds of feet tall. The villagers are nothing more then bugs to him and always appease him out of fear.
Despite their differences however and Leon's wish that Dracknor would treat the other villagers with at least a sixteenth of the respect that he receives from them, the two are quite close. Dracknor values and respects the the effort that Leon puts in to his everyday activity (even if his human is a commoner) and is secretly quite affectionate and very protective towards him Often calling Leon his little prince. And Leon though he wished the people around him were treated better has always admired the dragon's strength and willingness to protect his home from just about any threat. Can these two work together and save their world from the Frights or is that too much of a tall order for the two.
Ken and Galewing.
Ken is adventure seeking fun loving sixteen year old runaway. He left and abusive household when his was five and formed a link with his partner shortly after near death encounter . Ever since the two have walked the ancient lands and come across many a forgotten city. They've sailed through the skies and crossed vast oceans always moving from one spot to the next. Ken frequently gets himself into trouble that normal people would find very difficult to escape but "Gales" (his nickname for his partner just casually brushes that trouble aside with a flick of his fingers or a brush of his tail. He's not really interested in saving the world as his ancestors have done and just wants to roam from place to place with his giant protector.
Galewing could be described in three words knowledgeable, curious, and indifferent. Galewing views his partner as little more then a pet. Something he has to feed and take care of or it dies. That's not to say he doesn't show affection from time to time but ultimately as long as Ken is healthy and fed he doesn't really care what happens to his partner. He's much more interested in the creations of humans long since gone. Not their current technology mind you most of their current tech has been reduced medieval levels of impressiveness and they don't seem to interested in going much further. No he's much more interested in their ancient technology things he could only scarcely being to guess at. He's very interested in how such tiny and short lived beings could build something that baffles his kind. That isn't to say he respects humans by any means. If they ever tried to interrupt or impede his studies he'd snuff them out in an instant save for his "pet." One time a group tried to stop him from inspecting a "holy relic" as they called it and he merely sat on them crushing them beneath his rump.
Can these two really save the world or will Galewing and Ken be too uninterested to help.
Adonis and Abyssclaw.
Adonis is prideful, charismatic, talented and well endowed individual. No seriously just ask him. Adonis views himself as a cut above the rest after being disowned from his family at ten for being a bastard. Adonis found himself to be worthy of being compatible with a dragon. He returned home and easily single handily crushed his former family into dust with his dragon and ruled with a iron fist. He allowed his half brother and step parents to say as his servants. But decided that this was too small an honor for him so set off to new lands with his partner in hopes that the nobles and common people would recognize him is as their one true king. And with his loyal servant and gigantic knight who would dare stand in the nineteen year old's way.
Abyssclaw despite what Adonis tells himself is not as loyal as his partner thinks he is. It's true he does care for Adonis and will protect him from all harm meant to come his way, but Adonis did not return home to his family instead he ordered Abyssclaw to show his family whose in charge while he prepared for a royal welcome in his honor. Abyssclaw nodded, placed a protection spell on Adonis and went to show them who's in charge as he put it. Abyssclaw loves humans, as toys. He thinks their immensely fun to play with and because their just so small nothing they really do can hurt him. When he got to the Castletown he immediately began setting to work tormenting the local population. He pushed them around, laughed at their attempts to hurt him and even used one of the castle towers as a makeshift dildo. After a few grueling and heart racing hours the king (Adonis's father) pleaded with the lewd dragon to stop. Abyssclaw agreed on the conditions that his partner be welcomed back with open arms, the king give up his status and crown (but not his duties) and Adonis rule as a sort of puppet king. His family would still have all their power just not the title. And if they ever tried to hurt him Abyssclaw would make sure that the their castle would make a good throne and all their citizens his slaves. They on the other hand would receive the honor of using their bodies to pleasure him in what ever way he saw fit. So it was done Adonis believed he ruled and that his family submitted to him (and not Abyssclaw's threats) and he ruled for a long while. The dragon was endlessly amused by Adonis's antics and enjoyed making the royal family and their citizens uneasy. Until his human got bored and decided to try something else.
Can these two really save the world from the Frights. Can Abyssclaw keep his arrogant partner in check or will the temptation to see what unfolds be to great for the dragon.
