Debbie had aimed the beam for a woman that she rather detested, Melany Johnstone. The old bitch was a pretty awful person, and had extremely harsh views of anyone of color. She tried to make the book club white only, earning her more than a few enemies from the women in the group. Plus her constant racial slurs made several people stop coming.
She honestly deserved to be the tiny one. But instead, Debbie had missed her target as she stepped out of the way. Instead, she hit a mirror, reflecting the beam back to her. In an instant she was reduced to half an inch tall in the middle of the floor. But thankfully the ray shrunk with her, so it should be simple to return to normal.
Though before she could, a shadow loomed overhead. Debbie acted out of instinct, diving out of the way. A second later, a sandal clad foot slammed down where she had just been standing. The size ray had been knocked loose from the impact, sending it across the floor a few feet away. Debbie was about to rush for it, when the giantess took another step, kicking it away.
The shrunken mother followed it with her eyes, praying that it landed somewhere she could get it back. But she would be disappointed as the only device capable of returning her to normal landed...
