Over the course of the next few weeks, Gloria and Nicole would eventually settle for a balance between the two ideas, having a bit of a pirate theme but allowing the chefs to still wear some less restrictive pirate-themed swimwear as they cooked as part of the theme. With everything picked out though, all that was left was to finish up the break room and everything would be ready for a grand opening.
Working around the clock, Gloria would have some of the best workers in all of Trussel start preparing a swimming area in the personal quarters of the place. As the workers would begin cutting a hole into the floor to open up a swimming area however, the workers would text back at her, with something to say.
FELIX: Hey Glo, something is going on at the place we’re finishing our work on.
GLORIA: What? Surely your not trying to say the pool will not work, right?
FELIX: Well... it would be best if you came and saw it yourself. It’s... certainly unique.”
GLORIA: ...Fine. You’ve piqued my interests at least...

Showing up at the Pirate Barrel after a short drive, Gloria would look up at what a few weeks worth of construction has done to her store, before smiling. Only a few days from now this place will open, and once it does the revenue will be pouring in. If it was successful enough, she thought, it could even let her move to the nationwide market!
Reminding herself of what needed to be done though, Gloria would walk right in, being guided in by the construction workers into the back room, where she could see her office in all of it’s glory. Not only did it have a comfy seat and a great view of a TV, but with the pool being nearby it gave off the energy of her being rich and powerful, which she loved.
Looking at her trusted construction man Felix, Gloria would nod to him as she would look back to the pool. “So, what was it you were texting me about huh? Is there something troublesome with the pool?”
“Nah, it’s not about the pool itself. We can make it easy... it’s just... well, look inside of it. You’ll understand there.”
Looking down into the pool, Gloria would see a heavy amount of fish swimming around in the soon-to-be pool, making it somewhat hard to see the bottom of it. Thinking a bit about the fish, Gloria would feel through the water, and pull one of them, a small sea bass, out of the water.
“This is it? They’re just fish, they’re not going to bother anything. Maybe if there were sharp rocks I’d reconsider, but come on. You’ve dealt with worse...”
“I’m sorry, it’s just the principle of the thing.” Rubbing his construction hat, Felix would look down into the pool, as fish would continue to swim in a circular pattern down there. “We would probably get a lot of flack from activists if we disturbed them, and that would be bad for both of our businesses. Don’t you agree?”
Taking a bit of time to think about it, Gloria would sit down, before nodding a bit. “You got me there. I don’t want to exactly ruin my image just to make a pool. Hmm... you think you can keep the fish, but build it around them?”
Blinking a bit in confusion, Felix would tilt his head. “I’m sorry, what?”
“You heard me, building around them, while keeping them in! And then maybe having a door at the bottom to allow fish to freely swim in and out. That way, their environment won’t be disturbed, and we’ll still have a place to swim in!”
Sighing a bit, Felix would still look down in the pool with worry. “That would take quite a bit longer to finish building. At least a few days to ensure that it all works like that. But I will say, it should be possible to do that.”
“Good.” Quickly sliding a small raise to Felix, Gloria would leave as she would wait for the pool to be done, so that she could finally open. This day would come almost a full week later, and after a hard day of working at another of her own eateries, Gloria and Nicole would walk in to see their new Pirate Barrel minutes before closing.
As they would head off to the back of the kitchen, they would see two of the more subordinate chefs already packing up for leaving, with the third, more experienced chef already swapping out for a bikini now that cooking was done for the day.
This chef, by who Gloria and Nicole would recognize as Tsukiko Mihachi, was one of Gloria’s first picks when it came to running this seafood place, due to her expertise in frying. She had a rather plump figure with some rounded hips, and while her breasts were somewhat small compared to her two heavier co-workers, she managed to at least have somewhat of a small gut.
Walking up to her already in their own swimsuits, Gloria and Nicole would smile as they would see Tsukiko rock her red bikini. Noticing their approach, Tsukiko would wave to them a bit, before bowing. “Ah, it’s nice to see you two here. This first day was pretty exhilarating, and all the other chefs really enjoyed working here. I guess you were going to try out the pool?”
“Yep!” Grabbing the side of her swim suit, Nicole would stretch the rubber a bit before letting it go, causing her fat belly and breasts to jiggle. “This was my idea, and I’m going to be the first in it!”
“Relax, Nicole... we will get there, but for now, let’s have a bit of a snack prepared for while we swim.”
Taking a look around in the kitchen, Gloria would quickly, with the help of Tsukiko, cook up a large bucket full of popcorn shrimp, before dumping them all onto a second, water-resistant bucket that she had brought with her. Once it was done, she would beckon the other two to follow her as she would quickly dip into the pool.
As the night would go on, the three would relax and swim through the place, enjoying themselves as they marveled at the sight of various fish swimming beneath and beside them and having some popcorn shrimp to snack upon. Eventually though...
