Holly Drives The Car

"I want to drive in a car!" Holly said with glee.

At first Alex was a bit hesitant. But then again this was already a surreal situation. So he rolled his eyes and agreed.

As they walked downstairs, Holly chattered excitedly about how much fun it was to feel so tall and grown-up. When they got to the garage, Holly quickly opened the back door of the car.

She giggled when she noticed that the children's car seat she sat in before was now way too small for her. She tried to sit down anyway, but ended up sitting on the edge of it instead.Her babysitter watched amused at this little game.

"You ready?" Alex asked as he sat down in the passenger seat.

"Yay!" Holly ran over to the driver side and jumped in. She actually lay her hand on her babysitter's thigh and squeezed. Alex looked at her surprised.

"Thank you Alex!" the young girl said, smiling. Alex didn't reply. He still couldn't believe he was sitting next to seven year old the size of an adult. And he was about to show her how to drive!

Alex made sure to open the garage door. Then he started showing Holly how to start the car and let her take control of the steering wheel while he sat beside her. He watched her with pride as she drove slowly forward and backward, laughing with joy. She actually have a talent for it!

After a while, he suggested they take the car outside for a drive. They went down the street and turned onto a nearby road where there wasn't any traffic. Holly loved driving and felt very proud of herself for doing something so cool. In truth they were driving at a snail's pace and if something did go wrong Alex could easily adjust.
