Try as you might, you can't get away from the whirlpool and you're quickly sucked in. Believing that these are your final moments, you see your whole life flash before your eyes. You hope death will be kind to you, no matter where you wind up going. You lose consciousness as you experience the spinning of the whirlpool.
You awaken somewhere in a cave. You either somehow survived, or you're in the land of the dead. As you come to, you suddenly see a huge silvery white and blue figure before you, towering over you. When your vision becomes fully clear it is easy to realize that the figure is none other than the legendary bird of the ocean itself, Lugia.
You soon come to the conclusion that you are, in fact, alive, and it's thanks to the wondrous creature that now stands before you. It must have rescued you after you became unconscious. It doesn't sound too farfetched, as many speculate that the reason Lugia keeps itself so secluded is that it was believed that the fluttering of its wings could destroy a house. Perhaps it's compassionate towards humans and other weaker creatures?
