Tell the truth

"Yeah I'll see if they're free." Dani finally manages as her parents eyes narrow at her.

Lauren's phone rang and she went to grab it but her mom put a hand over it.

Lauren reactionary responded, "That might be my.." Lauren covered her mouth realizing where that was going.

Her mom picked up on it though, "Who is this person I'm not supposed to know about?" Her mom started to turn her phone over and Lauren snatched it.

The picture of Dani calling being the taller girl kissing her rosy cheek.

Dani sighed as Lauren didn't pick her phone up.

Luckily Lauren's name popped on her phone though, "Hi..." She sees the glares of her parents.

"Dan, you okay?" Dani's heart sunk at the way Lauren said Dan meaning one thing, one of her parents is listening.

"Can I speak to you in private?" Dani was more asking her parents but Lauren got the message.

Dani went into the guest room while Lauren went to her room, "Yes Spice?" Lauren asked signaling she was alone.

"My parents want to meet my boyfriend and I'm kind of tired of lying." Dani really hoped Lauren would come.

Lauren looked at the ceiling praying to God that she wouldn't be killed, "Anything for my Spice, what time?"

Dani pumped a fist in the air, "Friday at six."
