Futaba looked down at her phone, confused. Another new app had installed itself onto her phone. Was this connected to the metaverse as well? She’d have to ask Akira about this later. For now, she decided to open the app.
As the app opened, text appeared on the screen. Who’s heart will be sent? Futaba was confused. ‘Sending Hearts? I thought we could only steal them?’ She thought, maybe there was more to the meta verse than the phantom thieves thought. Below the message was a list of names. Each of the names belonged to a member of the phantom thieves and below it was a ‘next’ button. ‘Hmm? The app knows who the phantom thieves are? Who created it...’ Futaba wondered before deciding to select her own name.
The next part was very similar to previous. The differences were that the message now said ‘Who will receive the heart?’ and that her own name was now missing from the list. ‘I guess I can’t send my heart to myself, whatever that means.’ Futaba thought before selecting another name.
