The lights on the ceiling overhead flickered as the man in the trench coat walked through the store, looking around at the shoppers and employees eagerly. Those who were looking in his general direction would see a rather ordinary looking man. A bit short, a little on the heavier side, with short black hair that hadn't been brushed and a severe five o'clock shadow on his face. Beads of sweat dripped down the man's face as he looked around the store, trying to find a corner without many people to no avail.
"Shit" the man muttered under his breath as the door to the store opened and two young men walked in. The older, though shorter, of the two men motioned for the taller, younger man to go in one direction while he went the other way. Before he could be noticed, the man in the trench coat turned down the nearest aisle, bumping into one of the employees.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" the attractive young woman said with a surprised look on her face. "I didn't see you there!" she said as she fixed her skirt, which had slid up a bit from the contact. Before responding, the man quickly looked her over. The young woman looked to be in her mid twenties. She had shoulder length red hair that was tied back in a ponytail and wore black heels to give her an extra few inches of height. the name-tag on her chest read 'Jessica'.
"Hmmm...Yes, I think you'll do me just fine" the man said with a grin before quickly pushing Jessica against the wall and forcing his lips onto hers. The poor girl didn't even have time to scream for help as black smoke gushed out of the man's mouth and straight into Jessica's throat. The man's body fell limply to the ground as Jessica's body shook uncontrollably as the demonic essence forced its way into control. Soon enough, the shaking stopped and Jessica began to breathe normally again. she leaned back against the aisle and grinned as her eyes turned pitch black before returning to their natural color. "Yes, you'll do just fine, Jessica dearest" she said with a wicked grin as she felt herself up and then once again fixed her skirt. "Now, about you" she said, looking at the now vacant body on the ground. "We can't just have you empty, now can we?"
Jessica struggled to turn the body so that it was laying on its back. She then gently blew white smoke into it's nose. The body didn't put up much of a fight as it was filled with the essence. Its eyes opened before the body stood up with a dazed look on it's face. "Once you have your bearings together, you're going to do everything that I normally would. If those pesky hunters find you, I want them convinced that you're actually me. Understood?"
"Yes, master" the body said, rubbing it's eyes before walking away. Jessica smiled as she watched the body walk off. That should distract those two annoying brothers. The demon that was now in charge of Jessica's body knew that that wasn't going to fool them for long, but it would distract them enough to allow for a better plan to be put into place. Once they left, the demon would begin his plans, turning this entire strip mall into a fortress if need be. Perhaps it was a bit drastic, but then Crowley, the king of hell, wasn't exactly known for his subtlety, now was he?
