You wanted to hug her, you really did, the thought of going into her soft, warm, loving embrace was almost too good to pass, almost. You had begrudgingly made up your mind, this was too good to be true, there was no way all the Snorlax wanted was a hug, there had to be an ulterior motive, and you weren't going to stick around to find out what it was. As you made up your mind, you focus your attention to the Snorlax, her arms still wide open, expecting you to join her, not knowing you already made your decision. Although she did seem to sense your hesitation, "C'mon sweetie, I promise I don't bite!" She joked, soon after laughing at her own words. Looking into her eyes, you almost lost all the willpower to refuse her, absentmindedly taking a step forward, though soon enough, your senses come back.
Try as you might, all you could say to the Snorlax was, "I-I'm sorry." Immediately afterward turning around to run as far away as possible from her. Even though you couldn't see her you could tell that this was not the reaction she was expecting. "Sweetie, wait!" She cried out in surprise, she was probably going to try and grab you, something you could not let happen. Sure enough, you felt her hand touch yours, but only for the briefest of moments. In that moment though, you swore that her hand was the softest thing you ever touched, softer than any pillow or mattress; it made you wonder if the rest of her was that soft, though you quickly dismiss the thought, instead focusing on escaping the same Snorlax you were fantasizing about. You had the element of surprise on her hand, you started running while she was on her knees, so you had some time to cover some ground before she could start giving chase to you, but soon enough you hear loud "THOOM"s behind you. Shit, she's not giving up easy.
"James, please!" the Snorlax called to you. It was gut-wrenching to hear her say your name like that, though you quickly remind yourself that if she caught you, she could wrench your guts, you run faster, but is it enough?
