Chapter #5

"Oh my, I'm so sorry, are you alright?&...

    by: Unknown
In an instant, the look on the young giantess' face goes from a curious one to a concerned one.
"Oh my! Are you alright little guy?" Dawn exclaims. You note a not subtle hint of worry in her voice.

You open your mouth, but no sound comes out of it, the image of the sole about to crush you still present in your mind keeping your vocal cords from producing any audible sound. So you just nod your head. Slowly, Dawn kneels and places her hand right in front of your small body.

Gulping, you hop on it as the blue haired girl rises her hand back to her face. You stare into her deep blue eyes as she talks again.
"Sorry for almost crushing you little guy. I didn't notice you." she apologizes. Still shaking, you manage to talk again.
"I-It's alright." you stammer.

She smiles warmly.
"Glad to hear that. " she says, sitting down on a stump.
"I'm Dawn, by the way. What's your name?" she asks, her voice filled with honey. Clearly, she wants to make it up to you for scaring you to death and almost turning you into a red stain on the ground.

You don't seem to remember anything else, so you tell her your name.
"That's a cute name." she says with a smile, making you blush.
"How did you got so small?" she then asks.
"I really don't know. I just remember I was walking in the forest... and then I woke up, shrunk." you explain.

Dawn seems to ponder something upon hearing your words. Until she lets out a small yawn.
"Well, I don't really know how to help you, but I guess we can figure out in the morning. Let's eat something and then we can go to sleep." she says, getting up and reaching for her backpack.

Digging into her bag, she pulls out an apple.
"I think we can share an apple." she states, sitting again and placing you on her lap. She slices the apple and hands you a slice. You eat slowly, thinking about this heck of a day.

Lost in your thoughts, you don't hear Dawn calling out for you.
"Little guy?" you look up at her.
"I think we should go to sleep now." she says, picking you and walking towards her tent.

Placing you down, she steps inside.
"Wait here..." she mutters, zipping the tent close, reopening it five minutes later, now in her nightwear.

Grabbing both you and her backpack, she places it on the floor and zips the tent close again.
"So... where am I going to sleep?" you casually ask. Dawn giggles in reply. You immediately get where this is going. A blush spreads on your face at light speed.
"You don't mean..."
"Exactly." she replies with a smile, while making her way to the point where a single sleeping bag is laying.

Dawn slides inside with you still in her grasp. She drops you next to her head. Close next to her head. Stands of her hair lie next to you, some twice your height.
"Goodnight little one. Sleep tight." she says in a whisper, before closing those blue eyes of hers, quickly beginning to snore softly.

Blushing even more, you lie down as well. You try to recollect your thoughts, trying to figure out what could be the cause of all this... but in the end, your eyelids become heavy. You fall asleep before even knowing it.
