Chapter #4

hourglass expansion

A few years after the monsters from the underground were set free, the humans have gotten over the initial shock and mostly accepted the monsters presence thanks to a human child named Frisk. Among the monsters was a goat monster named Toriel. She was Frisk's adoptive mother, and one of the best teachers in the new school that was finished building a year ago. She loved teaching both the monsters and the children there, so much so, she sometimes call them her '2nd family'.
It was the middle of the school year and Toriel was finishing up a lesson about caverns and caves.
"So, remember," she said after a video about stalagmites and stalactites "stalagmites might touch the roof while stalactites could touch the ground." Toriel was wearing a purple dress with a purple top, and had purple glasses. She wasn't wearing any shoes, but that was expected.
"Well, children," she said as the students finished writing down the last of the notes "I do hope you all have a safe weekend and-" she was interrupted by a flurry of hands raising. "Er, yes?" Toriel asked as she pointed to a human child.
"Miss Dreamurr, we've been good all month, right? You said that if we were good all month, you would show us a spell." The child said.
Toriel looked to a calender and saw it was the last day of the month.
"Oh, Dear, I almost forgot!" Toriel said with a smile. "I'll be right back." She then walked to the back of the room and entered a room filled with books, plants, and snails. She browsed through the books before finding the one she was looking for: the book of size manipulation. She grabbed the book, some plates and a couple of snails, and walked to the front of the classroom. The human and monster children all gathered around Toriel's desk.
Toriel placed the snails on separate plates and opened the book. For a few moments, she flipped through the book, looking for the spell she needed, until she found the growth spell.
"Now, children," Toriel started "This spell is an advanced spell, so please don't try this at home unless you have the proper training."
She then rolled up her sleeves, hovered her hands over the book, then began to, motion them in circles. At first, nothing happened, just Toriel waving her hands, but suddenly, white flames engulfed her hands, causing some of the students to squeal in shock.
"Its okay, children, I am perfectly safe."
She continued to move her hands in circles, but suddenly, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day.
"Oh, sorry, children, but it seems we will have to wait until monday."
The children groaned, but still packed up their stuff and left the room. Toriel sighed, she wanted to show the children the growth spell, but it seems that it will have to wait. She quickly shook her hands (a standard way to cancel spells that have a fire to them), and waited for the flames to be extinguished. She kept on shaking, until the flames suddenly flung off her hands and started ricocheting off the walls. Toriel quickly made a dash to the door, hoping the spell would hit something, but then she felt a sudden pain in her rear, as though someone slapped her. She looked and saw a singe mark on her dress where she felt the pain and started rubbing it. She then felt another pain in her breasts, like those were slapped, too. She looked at them and saw a singe mark on her shirt where the pain was.
"Oh, dear..." Toriel muttered as she rubbed there, too.
