I can't help but feel so weak and helpless. I'm so close to them and feel like I could easily get their help but it's just too risky to get near their gigantic feet and not get squished.
Above, the giants talk about school and other small talk. Under the table, the ground shakes as Cindy's and the significantly larger feet of my mom tap on the ground. Eventually the women finish up and Mom takes the dishes to the sink as Cindy walks by to the hallway, Mom doing the same shortly after.
I stay under the table for the next hour and a half until booming footsteps alert me to see Mom leaving the hallway and towards the living room. She wore a black blouse and black skirt with extravagant black high heels.
"C'mon, Cindy. It's time to go." Mom yells out in a commanding echo.
"Just a minute, mom." I hear Cindy's voice in the distance.
"No. We have to go right now."
"Coming!"
More footfalls and Cindy trots through the hallway wearing a black t-shirt with jeans and pink converses. The two walk through the front door leaving me in the house alone. The last major noise is the sound of the roar of the car engine before they drive off, leaving only the sounds of natural creaking and settling of the house.
Now I'm alone again but could I really survive sixteen or more hours until someone gets home? Especially with no humans around and the kitchen floor still a mess, bugs might show up again. There is no way I can stay here. I have to...
