Mom is in on the secret now.

You take out a pair of your socks then position yourself sitting on the ground so you can take off your moms and put your own back on to see if they change back.
There was a creak to your left and you are startled to see your mother stepping down into the basement thinking you were all alone. She narrows her eyes at you. “John are you ok? I thought I heard a noise like someone falling. What are you doing on the ground?”
Heart pounding you adjust yourself to sit cross legged so she can’t see the socks you are wearing but it’s too late she noticed.
“John are those my socks? Take them off this instant you are going to stretch them out.” She said angrily.
You sigh and uncross your legs and start to stand. “Mom they are not stretched out they…” She interrupts you “of course they are probably stretched out your feet are much bigger than mine.” She looks livid.
Mom look. You walk next to her and put your foot next to hers. She looks down and frowns “what am I supposed to be looking at…” her voice trails off as she notices. “What’s going on around here?”
You point to the detergent “look it’s witch wash. It made the cloths magic so we change to fit the clothes we try to put on.” You explain
This obviously sounded absurd and her mind wasn’t processing it. “That’s just some cheap knock off brand I got at the discount shop.” She said
You lift a leg and pull off a sock and put your foot right next to hers. They were identical down to the freckle on the toe.
Her mouth falls open. “John how is this possible?”
You hand her your socks “try them on and you will see”. She takes your socks from you apprehensively. She gave a little grunt as she sat herself on the ground then put on your socks. She gasped as her feet began to grow. She took a sock off and gaped at her new foot and wiggled her toes. She got up and walked around the basement staring at her feet in shock.
You go back to the laundry basket of fresh cleaned clothes. “All of these clothes are now magic”
“You think we should test out something else?” She asked. “Something more extreme so we can see what this stuff really does?”
