You decide that it's best not to tussle with a powerful possessed priestess a second time and run back towards the shrine door. Hearing an angry voice behind you gives you the extra kick you need to make through the door safely. Not wasting any time you quickly slam the door shut and slide the heavy bar into place, locking the priestess outside. Breathing a sigh of relief you take a moment to collect yourself, but then you hear a noise coming from somewhere within the shrine. It's hard to tell but it sounds like crying, could there be someone else here?
Carefully you make your way further into the shrine, following the sound of crying to it's source. Eventually you come across a large room, seems like the main prayer area with a number of pews and an altar dedicated to your goddess on the far side of the room. Next to the altar you find something really surprising, a young woman perhaps in her early twenties is down on her knees with tears streaming down her face. Judging by her expensive looking dress and numerous pieces of jewelry on her she is probably some merchant's daughter. She looks up as you enter the room and wipes the tears from her eyes.
"O-Oh, are you human?" Her eyes light up with a brief glint of hope, "Are you here to rescue me? The priestess here has gone completely mad! Quickly come help me up, she hurt my ankle and left me here!"
"Did the priestess hurt you? It seemed like she was possessed by something evil." You cautiously approach her, you need to try and figure out what exactly happened here. "Do you know what happened to her, why is she suddenly acting like this?"
"There's no time!" She frantically reaches her hand towards you, "A truly gallant knight would help a maiden in need, that's what you are, aren't you?"
This woman clearly needs your help, but she might also know something about what happened here. However with an angry possessed priestess nearby time is of the essence! Do you bravely leap into action to help a maiden in need or do you try and question her further to see if she knows anything?
