Chapter #3

Aye to Aye

    by: Unknown
You wake up to the sound of strange music filling the air. You grunt and then you look up in surprise because there are acres and acres of jungle in front of you. You hear the sounds of strange birds and then you see what looks like a chameleon sprint past the ground. You were in a jungle, there was no doubt about it. It looked like it was an African jungle or was at least near Africa. “How did I get her?” you ask. “I don’t remember booking a trip to Africa. Whoa!”

You had to stop yourself as you almost land in a large hole. From the looks of it, the hole was the same size as an elephant. “That was close.” You say. But then you look closer at the hole and you’re even more confused than you were before because the hole looked like a giant foot with long elongated toes like some kind of weird animal. You step back and then you hear a strange sound and look down and from what you see, you nearly stepped on a strange long-nosed hedgehog-like animal with short quilled yellow and black fur. You look closer as the creature scurries away and then you realize something. You remembered seeing an animal like that in a brochure of the travel bureau that you worked. It was called a tenrec and the only part of the world you knew where tenrecs were indigenous was Madagascar.

“I’m in Madagascar?!” you yell. “How did I get all the way out here!” You run out and try to figure out what’s going on and then you grunt as you trip on a piece of metal. You groan and then you see that the piece of metal you tripped on appeared to be a propellor for some sort of plane. You then look up at several trees and see the remains of a plane of some sort. It wasn’t a large airliner and seemed to be a plane that was left over from some kind of war. That was when there’s a rolling sound and you see a glass canister of some kind at your feet and it’s fogged and stained as if there was some odd concoction inside of it. You lift up the glass and stare at it in curiosity before you hear loud rumblings. “Oh great. Now I have to deal with earthquakes?!” The earthquakes get closer and closer and you hear the call of some kind of strange and unusual animal. You’re now more afraid than ever. You then look up and approaching your area is a strange creature shadowed out by the night’s sky but with glowing eyes. It was the size and shape of a mountain as it approaches.

You scream and try to run but the creature reveals that it has rather large rounded ears to go with its large eyes and it stomps forward after you, knocking down several trees in the process. The creature chirps and then leaps over the jungle with surprising grace given its incredible mass and lands with a loud boom that cracks the ground. You bump into something fleshy and fuzzy and then you look up in pure surprise. Standing in front of you was a giant woman, a rather obese giant woman, you’d say 600ft tall. But the most surprising part was that this giant woman was in no way human. She was a giant and obese aye-aye (a type of lemur) with dark pitch black fur and purple markings over her body. She wore nothing but a blue loincloth and tanktop as she looked down on you with an eerie smirk.

“Well, well, well,” says the aye-aye as she bend over to get a good look at you, her massive body casting a large shadow. “A human. I know exactly what to do with you.” You look up in fear as the aye-aye smiles down on you and decides your fate.
