"Lucy, you know, I can't live inside Mommy forever. This womb is getting a bit worn out and her body isn't really ideal for me. She waddles around in a diaper like some kind of invalid, and that's hardly a worthy shell for someone as great and powerful as I am." Sollos said.
"Okay, so you're going to let her birth you then?" You said.
"Heavens no! No, Lucy, I need your help in building an artificial womb. Mommy is weak and increasingly useless. I require a host with a body of plastic and steel!" Sollos said.
You tried to keep from laughing.
"You want *ME* to help you build an artificial womb? Something that isn't even real yet? Sollos, I don't know the first thing about inventions and engineering. In fact, I'm probably the dumbest person in the house." You said, being honest.
It was true. Jenny and Brandon always put you to shame when it came to studies in homeschool.
"Pah! You don't need to do the thinking, that's my job! I need you to help me gather materials. We need a lot of stuff, and some of it we'll have to steal, but I already know exactly how to build it." Sollos said.
Your face lit up.
"Oh, so you want me for my muscles? Cool, I can do that." You said, flexing your arms.
You were quite proud of being strong and fit, even if the rest of your family valued the power of the mind over the body.
"Yes, I suppose that's one way to put it. Also ,you will be greatly rewarded for your efforts, I guarantee it. So, there are a lot of things we need for this, things like life support systems, simulated amniotic fluid, and of course, a robotic shell to carry me." Sollos said.
"Cool, I'm up for it. I don't mind stealing. Hell, I'll kill people too if I have to." You said.
Sollos lightly laughed.
"Hopefully that won't be necessary, but I'm glad to hear you're on board with me." Sollos said.
What does Sollos ask you to do first?
