Soon you can see the temple, standing out nearly 30 meters tall. You get a good vista of it, since there's little vegetation around. Suddenly, just as you're just 100 meters from the temple, absorbed in contemplating it, a livid Pelé grabs your shoulder - there's a nearly three meters tall carnivorous plant-like creature not far behind you.
You two run for your lives screaming at the top of your lungs, with Pelé running ahead like he was Usain Bolt. The guide rushes into the temple and begins pushing the heavy stone porch so he can close it as you run inside. The monster hits it fiercely with its heavy pincers, but fortunately the stone is very thick.
- Just what was that?
- Well, it seems the goddess was worshipped to ask for protection from monsters. But I didn't expect it to be like this.
- This is already a big discovery, but I wonder if we will survive to tell it. If there's another creature like that inside the temple I'm afraid we're finished.
