5 Feet, 8 Years

"What?"

"I grew! C'mon, measure me!" Laurie dashes out of your room through the open door. You follow her down the stairs and into the kitchen, where she stands by the measuring stick. Over the years, the measuring stick was used to measure how tall you and your siblings were. The last time you were measured Laurie was four foot one. Now on the measuring stick, she was five foot even. 11 inches... You start to black out.

"C'mon, how tall am I? Pleasepleasepleaseplease..."

"5 feet tall," you say in a gasping breath.

"Wooooow, I'm HUGE! Mom, Dad, you got to see how tall I am now!" Laurie dashes out of the kitchen.

Still dizzy, you try to eat some breakfast, but you have lost your appetite. Still, that doesn't stop you from going to school. You try your best to forget the incident... 11 inches in a night... It was no use.

You hesitated to come home, but even giant little sisters can't stop your from afternoon chores. Upon opening the door, you are greeted by...
