You couldn’t even scream for how much you were in. And her twisting and grinding did you no favors as you heard a rib crack and cough up blood. At this point, you were just wishing for death. Anything to just make all this stop. Just when you thought your prayers were answered, the foot is lifted off you.
After all that, still alive and kicking? You’re a tough one. She said, with a smile. You just want this all to end. For her to just crush you and be done with it. But that doesn’t happen. Instead, she grabs you with her two tree sized fingers and lifts you up to her huge face. What kind of bug are you that’s so tough? I expected to clean you off like the rest, but you didn't burst. She said. You don't know whether to thank or curse being this durable. Since you're a tough one and all..... Maybe i'll keep you. I could use an insole to ease all the walking. Or as something to take out my stress on. She said with a laugh. You couldn’t speak for the pain, but you grimaced at the thought of being her plaything. Let's get a better look at you. She said. When she brought you closer to her, all the laughter and smiles died away under closer look.
Y….you’re not a bug. You’re…. She said, stunned. You smile as best you can. She covers her mouth in shocked as all the actions she’s done to you hit her. I…. You…. She said, trying to rationalize what she’s done. You cough up blood which snapped her out of her trance. You could see the shock in her eyes, but that was quickly wiped away when you coughed again. She put her boot back on and ran inside her AT-AT.
She pushed somethings off the counter and set you down gently. You groan a bit as she looked over your bloody body. Her finger feels around your body. Disjointed limps, lacerations, bruise …. She said. She felt around your sides and you winced. Broken ribs as well….! She said. She turns around and almost throw up. In his condition, he won’t survive without immediate care. She said. She'd imagine you were screaming your lungs out that you were human. .....I have to help him. She said. She turns to you and grips your arm. Listen to me. She said gently. I need to set your limbs back in place. She said. You look at her as she grabs your left arm with two fingers. Ok….. 1….2….3! *Forces your arm back in place*. ARGH!!!! You said as it was set back. The pain was so intense that you blacked out.
Ok. Now your leg. 1….2….3! *Forces your right leg back in place*. Ok. How’s that? She said. No response from you. No, no, no, no, no! Don’t you dare go into that light! She said. She places her finger on your chest to resuscitate you, but she felt your heart still beating. *Sigh* Just out from pain. She said, calming down.
While you were out, she cleaned out your wounds, wiped up all the blood; Everything she does when she gets hurt. When it was all done, she tore off a piece of clothe and wrapped it around your stomach. She then rummage around the AT-AT until she found a stimpack. She was saving it for in case she was really hurt one day, but you need it more. So she stuck it in your side and injects you. There. Now I just need to wait. She said.
The girl went about her day as usual. She made herself some food, counted the remaining credits she had, prepped for another scavenger run, ect. All the while waiting for you to come to. She was curious about you and how you got like this.
Late at night.
You open your eyes and hold your head. Oh….. Where am I? You moan. You look around to see you’re in a gutted-out AT-AT. And you’re laying down on a counter with a piece of cloth covering you. When you moved, you felt a sharp pain. You wince and grab your side. Ugh…. Feels like a broke a rib. Wait…. You said remembering. The last thing you saw was a huge girl’s face and lots of pain. You got to your feet and see more clothe wrapped around your stomach. D…. Did she do this? You said. You wondered where she was when you heard light snoring. You turn around and she her with her head on her arms and sleeping with a blanket covering her.
That’s her. She was the last thing I saw. She brought me here. And she did this to me. You said. Did she bring you here so she could make you suffer more? You do remember seeing her concern over seeing you. She must have cared if she doctored you. But did she only do it to have her way with you? You’re already small, hurting, and in a place you don’t know. You don’t want to add being a plaything to that list. You trudge to the edge of the counter. Quite the drop, but the sand should cushion my fall. And not that far of a distance to get out. You said. You look at the sleeping girl. She’s out like a light. Won’t know I’m gone until the sun comes up. You said.
Given your condition, you’d make it out of the AT-AT, but the desert is vast. And who knows how long it could take you to reach a town or whoever finds you will be any better? Plus, the coldness and whatever insects that are out there won’t make it any easier. But is that chance better than staying here with her?   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
