“Why yes! It'll be a whole lot better than being out in the desert. And... Well, you know...”
“Know what?”
“You know... out there by yourself.” She says
You get the feeling that she's hiding her own feelings by trying to read yours.
“Are you... lonely?” You ask bluntly.
There is a brief silence, before she answers with a sad tone. “Well… Yes. There are so many people on this planet, and I hardly know any of them.”
“Y-You must know some people.” You say, trying to comfort her.
“Besides small talk or selling scrap, I don't know anyone.”
Hearing the giant girl talk about her depressing loneliness, makes you feel bad for asking so bluntly.
“I guess.... I can live with you.” You say.
“You will?!” Rey says, stunned by your answer.
“Yeah. Not like anyone else is going to be as hospitable as you.”
With a smile, she hugs you tightly. “Thank you! You won't regret this!”
“Can't... breathe...” You say.
“Oops. Sorry!”
Rey lets go of you and takes you into her home. Even though it’s a wreck, she considers it home. Rey pushes aside a smile pile of scrap, and gently puts you down on a table, before she takes a seat in front of you. She strokes you gently on your back, as a way of getting you to be more comfortable of her.
“Now what to do with my new friend?” She says, with a coy smile.
