By now you two inches tall. The living room is the size of a large town now with the furniture and decorations seeming like tall buildings and the giants in the room are like living skyscrapers. You made it to the side of the couch but your heart is sunk to see that Vicki has her eyes closed and lets loose roaring sounds of light snoring. You feel like she would see you if she opened her eyes and looked down slightly but then again, you are very tiny. The reality of someone looking down you and not noticing you even though they are only a few feet away is still unfathomable. You need to get Vicki's attention, even with her asleep, you would rather get her attention by waking her up than go to younger girls in such a crucial and dire situation.
The way up the couch is an impossible climb. The gap under the couch along with the distance from the four wooden beams touching the ground at each corner of the long couch has the material of the couch just out of reach for you to climb up. There are her long fingers just ahead though. Until Vicki moves her arm up to the sofa with the rest of her body. Your heart races as you think she is waking up but instead she made the movement in her sleep.
The only choice you have now is to scream at the top of your lungs for Vicki to wake up and look down at you every time the TV is at a brief stopping of sound between commercials or shows. It's all futile as your tiny voice is just too small for Vicki's ears to give attention to especially since she is asleep. Maybe if she was more alert she could hear you but it's an impossibility for sure as of now.
Realizing it is pointless, you have no choice but to just wait until she wakes up. It could be hours but Vicki is usually awake well into the early morning on weekends so it is very uncharacteristic for her to be asleep right now. You hope she is just dozed off but it could be her lack of sleep catching up to her.
Looking back, you see if there's the desperate option of the younger girls available but you are surprised to no longer see their hulking bodies. No wonder it's so quiet besides the television now. Further across the living room, you see the girls sleeping next to each other on one couch. Leaving them as a similar situation to Vicki except they definitely won't be awake anytime soon.
"There goes that idea", you grunt aloud.
You are starting to feel tired yourself as you continue to watch Vicki intently. Maybe it might be a good idea to get rest somewhere safer until your energy is up. Past the living room table is something that catches your eye. The girls' dollhouse. The simple, pink, plastic house that was rather small before is now an estate to you. With everyone sleeping, maybe you could use it as a temporary refuge to get some rest yourself.
