When Lilly woke up, she could see them, little bits of code around everything she saw. To be honest, they'd kinda looked like old style ASCII graphics that surrounded everything, and at first she thought she had been looking at her computer for too long. But when they never went away, she began to worry, what was happening? As she looked around, she tried to dsitract herself from the various bits of code streaming around her by going into her fridge.
"Man, the milks gone bad." She said as she looked at the expiration date on the milk gallon, but as she reached up to unscrew the lid, her fingers touched the code, and she UNDERSTOOD it. Staring at the gallon with new light, she gingerly reached out to touch the code again, and began to gently pluck at it until suddenly, no glowing or blurriness, the gallon was full and the expiration date was two weeks from now.
"This is awesome!" Lilly cheered to herself, looking around, she proceeded to edit everything in her house, her couch was changed to a different style, the paint on her walls was changed. But what if she wanted to affect something alive? Going over to her potted plant, she tried editing the code around it, but nothing worked, she could affect little things, but until someone else saw it happen, she didn't know what she was doing.
"Maybe it's time to try this out on a person." Lilly thought to herself. Hearing her roommate coming down the stairs, she looked eargerly to see what Julie had to say about the less than harmonious state of the kitchen and living room.
"Mornin' Lilly." Julie said as she walked her way past he roommate. "Sleep good?"
Lilly nodded silently, "Notice anything different about the place Julie?" She asked, gesturing to the changed living room and kitchen.
Looking around, Julie shook her head, "Nope." And went back to finding breakfast.
Fed up with these he lack of reaction, Lilly walked up to Julie and began to tweak the code around her, and watched as her shirt and bra simply vanished, but Julie didn't do anything. Lilly watched, fascinated, as her roommate went about her normal routine topless. "Forget a shirt Julie?" Lilly asked, wanting to see where this went.
Looking down at her exposed breasts, Julie looked back at Lilly, "No, I just didn't feel like wearing a top today." Lilly noticed a yellow string of code above Julie's head, and after a quick tweak, Julie screamed and ran upstairs, the sound of a dresser drawer opening could be heard.
"Oh, this is gone be fun!" Lilly said to herself, laughing as she strolled out the door, looking forward to the fun she could have with this new ability, unaware of the red string of code that was floating above her, flagging her for security...
