From the many monitors adorning her laboratory wall, she was treated to view after view of the utopian Jump City. With tall towers scraping the sky, near limitless power, and booming technological and shipping industries, the city represented the splendor that technological advancement held. Unfortunately for Dr. Spencer, none of the technology that people were so welcoming of was her own.
See, Angelica had tried for a long time to further her scientific cause. From the high school science fair to her thesis project to her first venture out into the 'real' world, she'd always pushed boundaries. Sure, things broke whenever she pushed those boundaries; she'd had to switch schools after the science fair, and the university lab was never the same after her first demonstration, but what else was science for. Evidently, it wasn't for the meek, cowardly consumers and investors of the day, who repeatedly let her go at the first sign of 'difficulty', as she put it.
Pushing dark hair off of her glasses, she typed away at her console. If people wouldn't take her contributions, she wasn't going to give them a choice. She'd already put things in motion for a demonstration that no one was going to ignore, and no one would belittle, if they knew what was good for them.
