Phoenix In the Sky

-A story route requested by another user-

A grassy park filled with nothing but the sounds of birds and distant voices was a welcome change of pace from the week the staff of the Wright Anything Agency had just experienced. With two separate trials handled in the space of a week, the team splitting work between both and giving their best efforts every minute of the way, they'd all agreed that Friday ought to be a day to relax.
Athena, dressed in her favourite workout gear, could be seen running a lap around a large pond, her red ponytail flying wildly behind her. Apollo, wearing much more casual clothes than Phoenix was used to seeing, was sitting on the hanging branch of a large tree and watching Athena's run. Trucy was seated in the shade of the same tree, a large book she'd acquired recently sitting in her lap. Phoenix wasn't entirely certain of where the book had come from. He thought he remembered seeing one like it back in the basement underneath an old shop he and his daughter had searched during their investigation two days earlier, but he wasn't sure. If Trucy had taken it from there, no one was likely to be complaining, considering that the shop's owner was the victim in the case.
The book -- a large tome detailing an extensive history of stage magic and its relation to various superstitions -- seemed quite old, though it had been kept in good condition. Trucy had been reading through it almost nonstop for the last day or so, seeking inspiration for her magic shows.

"Hey!"
Resting on a bench, Phoenix looked up. Athena was passing by, still running at top speed.
"I'm gonna hit the bathrooms, so don't go anywhere!" she called out, waving to her friends.
"I'll come, too!" Trucy said, setting aside her book and hopping to her feet.
Apollo dropped from his place in the tree next. "I should go over there, too." he said. "Mr. Wright, you need a break, too?"
Phoenix shook his head. "I'm alright." he said. He'd gone to the bathroom right after lunch, unlike the others.
"OK. Can you make sure no one grabs my book, Daddy?" Trucy asked him. He nodded, standing up.
"Sure thing." he replied, and the trio before him set off toward the bathroom structure a short distance away.
Phoenix walked over to the tree, looking down at Trucy's book. It was open to a page near the middle.
"Hmm..."
Glancing down at the open pages, he spotted something that caught his notice. He scanned over the box of text written across the page, just above a series of drawings and strings of strange words. They looked indistinctly foreign, but he couldn't think of any language that came to mind.
"... Said to transform mortals in gods." he read. He glanced between the pictures and the text again, a curious expression on his face.
(Exactly what kind of tricks are you hoping to develop from this, Trucy...?)
Phoenix picked up the book, looking the page over in detail.
"... Zosolir..." he read slowly, scanning over the strange words. "... Zosolir kulqwe feput cawlept yosotohar."
He shook his head.
(Seriously weird stuff.)
"Oh, wait." Glancing at the space below the words, he spotting a note. "... Spoken with eyes closed."
(There were actually people who believed in this stuff...? I mean, I've met actual ghosts, but still...)
Closing his eyes, Phoenix repeated the incantation listed on the page.
"... Zosolir kulqwe feput cawlept yosotok-... wait, no... Zosolir kulqwe feput cawlept yosotohar."

His eyes shot open as a very strange feeling swept over his body. He dropped the book, which fell to the grass at his feet.
His skin felt strange, like there was water running across his entire body. He looked downward, and he uttered a startled noise as the grass and the book before him suddenly seemed to fall away from him. Everything around him became smaller and smaller by the second, seemingly shrinking away. He staggered backward, and his foot struck something very solid.
"Wh-what the-!?"
He was growing. He looked around in a panic as his view of the entire park around him changed. He could see more and more in all directions.
-CRACK-
He jerked, looking down. His foot had just broken the tree he'd been standing by right off of its base. The entire tree fell to the ground with a great crash, splintered at ground level.

"Wh-whoa-!!" Trucy exclaimed.
"¡Dios mío!" Athena blurted out at the same time, almost falling over in shock. A bizarre figure had sudden expanded into view ahead of them like a massive balloon was being rapidly inflated. It continued to grow in size at an alarming pace.
The group had been returning from the bathroom, but they now stopped in their tracks.
"Th-that's-...!!" Apollo sputtered, too shocked to get the words out.
"M-Mr. Wright-!?" Athena finished for him, a look of the purest shock on her face.

The colossal figure stopped growing as suddenly as it had appeared. Rising high into the air before them, Phoenix could be seen looking around in stunned disbelief.
"D-Daddy-!!" Trucy blurted out, so shocked that her hat had fallen off of her head.

None of the group could guess accurately, but Phoenix's growth had ceased at a height of roughly two hundred feet.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Phoenix spots them returning, looking beyond words.

2. Phoenix clutches at his head, his mind in a strange haze.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
