This choice: "I just get bored sometimes." -- Decidedly not gentle for long • Go Back... "Bored-...? W-what-!?"
Apollo's voice was the one that came out the loudest, but the whole group had objected to Bee's answer.
"Y-you did this for fun!?" Athena exclaimed, pushing her way into the window.
Glancing off to the side, Bee shrugged.
"Pretty much. You guys aren't the first ones I've tried this with. This is the first whole building I've gone for, though." she said, tapping a knuckle against the outer wall of the Agency.
"W-well," Phoenix stammered, staring up at the huge woman's face in confusion, "What're you going to do now that you've got us?"
"It's gonna be fun, I promise." Bee replied, smiling at all of them. "... Well, more fun for me than you guys, probably, but still..."
"So, what are we, then? Pets...?" Apollo asked.
"Hey, you guys don't have to think of yourselves as pets or toys if ya don't want to." Bee said, still grinning. The smile wasn't comforting. "I mean, it's not gonna matter for very long, but you can call yourselves whatever ya want."
"W-wait, what d'you mean?" Apollo inquired, a hint of panic in his voice. "Y-you're gonna put us back to normal, right?"
Bee bit her lip.
"... I was kinda hoping ya wouldn't ask that." she replied. "See, nobody else has ever needed to go back to normal, 'cause..."
"W-wait." This time it was Trucy's turn to step forward. "Y-you don't mean you're gonna-..."
"You're gonna kill us...!?" Athena stammered, having arrived at the same conclusion as Trucy.
"I don't like to say 'kill'..." Bee answered, sounding like she was trying to sidestep this issue somehow. "But, well... I mean, no one's lasted too long, yeah..."
"W-what-!?"
Not only was this woman responsible for kidnapping all of them along with their entire office, but she was admitting that she'd killed people before...?
The group had sudden horrible mental images of Bee stomping on people she'd shrunken down like they were bugs. Apollo moved into the window again.
"Y-you can't do this!" he shouted. "We're not just a bunch of... of things you can play around with and then toss out!"
"We're people!" Trucy shouted, joining him.
The pair slipped, nearly falling to the floor as Bee rocked the office in her hand.
"Maybe you are, but so were all the other little guys I've had in here before." she said, her smile replaced with an intent stare. "I've decided that you guys are mine now, just like all of them."
