Pearl anxiously waited as Maya's footsteps approached. The door slid open to reveal her cousin, who looked to be in the middle of her morning routine.
"Pearly? Shouldn't you bring those to the storeroom first?" she asked, gesturing toward the basket in Pearl's grip.
"Umm..." Pearl mumbled. "There's something you need to see, Mystic Maya..."
Maya nodded. "OK." she stood aside to let Pearl in. Pearl slowly entered, very carefully holding the basket straight. "What's up? Maya asked once she shut the door.
Pearl stood there, still tightly holding the basket. She gestured for Maya to approach. Once she was close, Pearl carefully lifted away the single robe covering the diminished office building.
Maya at first just raised an eyebrow, but as she spotted a very small and familiar set of faces leaning out from the miniature building's windows, she gasped, clapping a hand to her mouth.
Another short explanation later, Maya and Pearl sat at opposite ends of Maya's large and impressive bed, the displaced Wright Anything Agency resting in the middle of the blanket between them.
"Oh my God, Nick..." Maya said for what was probably the fourth time. She stared in amazement as the tiny occupants of the office walked slowly out the front door and onto the soft blanket beneath them. They were barely two inches tall, at best.
