High above the clouds, far removed from contact from the lower world on a humongous floating island was the country of Gimunga, land of the giants and giant-like races. The land was ruled by Thorundus, King of the Giants. Standing at 105 feet and extremely well-built he ruled the land kindly. You were sitting on a throne right next him since you are the eldest out of six siblings. On your father's left was a vacant throne meant for your mother if she was still alive. She died three years ago when you chased two bandits from the lower world. You remember them all too well. You were a teenager when you saw them. They were brother and sister and were quite puny. You remember that they were quite young, being no older than 12 at the time. You remember seeing your mother chase after them for stealing her harp. You couldn't do anything except watch as the Beanstalk on the west side collapse while your mother was climbing down. After the incident your father banned trade with the lower world for three years fearing that more greedy residents would climb up the beanstalks to loot the country. After reminiscing you follow your father to the council chamber. You stood approximately 20 feet taller and were more built than he was. For centuries your people talked about the ban on magic since the country's founding.
"Father? What is the topic of today's council meeting?" you ask.
"We'll find out when we get there. All council meetings are a forum where various nobles bring up issues concerning the country."
"I forgot about that. This is the second council meeting that I've been to."
"The last one was three months ago. We only have them four times a year."
