Derrick thought he was done posing for the day. He took the dress off and shapeshifted back into his normal male body. Walking back into Mom’s studio he said, “We are done right?”
Mom looked at the clock and said, “Hmm..Not so fast. You still have a few hours left of shapeshifting power.”
Derrick pretended to act innocent, “Yea…So? I’m just going to go to my room and play video games…”
Mom shook her head with a smirk, “I know you better than that! Instead of spending the next few hours shapeshifting and playing with yourself, I’d rather have you do something productive!“
Derrick groaned. Mom was right. His real plans were to enjoy his shapeshifting power alone for the next few hours (It was a nice perk after spending days ‘posing’ for mom.) He asked, “Fine..What do you want me to do?”
Mom grabbed her purse from the table and said, “I need you to run some errands for me.” She handed Derrick her purse and said, “There is a list in my pocket book of supplies to grab from the sewing store. And while you are at it, stop by the grocery store and pick something up for dinner...”
Derrick grabbed the purse from Mom. It wasn’t the first time he turned into Mom to run errands for her. Truth being told, Derrick didn’t mind shapeshifting into his own mother at all. He rarely got to walk around in public in a shapeshifted form without having to worry about being caught. Venturing into the public with a valid ID and credentials made the experience exciting.
Derrick stood next to Mom and used his shapeshifting powers to become and exact copy of her. He even added the birthmark on her inner thigh to complete the look. Mom was pleased how perfect of a clone Derrick had become. Derrick experimented with his new voice, “Testing…Testing…123…” Mom smiled, “Nice job! You know where my clothes are. Go into my bedroom and find something to wear.” Derrick started walking up the stairs and Mom added, “…And don’t forget that I am 42 years old this time!”
Derrick snickered. Mom was of course referring to the last time he ran errands for her. Instead of wearing her boring ‘Mom’ clothes, he squeezed Mom’s body into one of Katlyn’s sundresses. He thought it would make Mom look more hip while shopping. Katlyn got mad that her ‘mother’ was seen in public wearing one of her dresses and it caused a family squabble.
Derrick walked into Mom’s bedroom and decided what to wear for the shopping trip.
