At The Meeting

    by: Unknown
It's amazing that even with their resolve so often tested, the managers of this facility still held out such a high hope that one day they'd be able to transform you and the rest of your sorry mob into an organized and effective superhuman strike force. They still held regular training sessions, they still had all of you hone your powers, and they still had weekly meetings where you were run through a simulated crisis in the practice course to see how you functioned together and talk about how you could improve. While there were some occasional successes, mostly on days where you all were so tired of monotonous tests or games that you decided unanimously to actually take the meeting seriously, 99% of these things ended either in a fight between the heroes, a display of total incompetence from the training staff, someone fucking, or a combination of all 3. Really it was difficult for them to even get the lot of you together in one room long enough to try and run through a training exercise, and a lot of the time only half of you showed up.
Entering the meeting room you noted first the fact that surprisingly the other nine of you had in fact shown up, even though no more than three had worn their government issued super suit and instead were dressed in whatever they felt like or more accurately whatever the hell they already had on when they were corralled into this meeting.

"Ah, I see our damsel in distress for the evening has arrived. Good, we'll be able to start the exercise soon." A familiar male voice says to your right. Turning you see Mr Lionel the head of security and grade A badass approach you. "So, did they give you any information or did they just drop you in blind Ms..."

"Maya, and no I wasn't told anything." You say with genuine confusion.

"Yeah, they hardly ever do. The interns don't normally show up if we tell them what's going to happen. Alright, so today the heroes are going to be running through a hostage crisis, a bunch of bad guys have captured a lovely little scientist, you, and are holding her captive inside their doom fortress. Now don't get jittery, this is all just a simulation. All you have to do is get tied up, cry for help, then act really appreciative to the hero that rescues you. A smooch on the cheek is perfectly fine but if you want to go the extra mile... anyway do all that and you get a free spa trip and 20 employee credits that you can use however you want at the facility's shops. How does that sound?" He inquires.
