You really hated to see Ginny hurting like this. You would have to make it up to her, somehow. And even then, you two would probably never be as close as you were before ever again. Granted, you and Ginny weren't the best of friends, but you talked quite a bit and enjoyed each others company, which is more than you can say about most of the other super freaks you were forced to live with.
After a few minutes, Ginny hasn't said a word, still pouring her face into the tear-stained pillow. "Ginny? Are you...okay?" you ask apprehensively, beginning to approach her. "I-I know I broke your trust, and I'll never do it again, but I-" With that, she suddenly shot up, staring straight at you with hate filled eyes. Uh oh. You made an ordinarily timid girl angry. And man, when she got angry...did she get angry! "Like shit you broke my trust! Stealing my diary? Getting it destroyed?! That was like, my own personal escape from this hellhole! And you tore it to SHREDS!" she yelled, throwing the pillow to the side as she stood straight up, beginning to walk towards you. "I thought we were friends, June! Friends don't do this to friends!" "I know! I'm sorry, Ginny!" you yelled back defensively, beginning to back away towards the door. Ginny was figuratively and literally starting to bare down upon you, as she seemed to be growing taller as she approached you. "Sorry?! Sorry doesn't even begin to come close to make up for it! I can't believe you'd just...I mean...what does this mean for us, June? Can we even still be friends?"
After hearing that last part, you stopped backing away, instead staring straight into Ginny's furious eyes with intense remorse. You weren't best friends or anything, but you didn't want to cast her to the side after this incident and add her to the list of enemies. Allies helped in this place, and Ginny was a pretty damn good one! "Y-yes! I want to stay friends! I didn't mean to shred your diary, and I know I shouldn't have taken it! It's-uh...complicated...but I don't want you to hate me! Can I do anything to make it up to you?!"
Ginny stopped for a moment, took a deep breath and tried to simmer down. Man, has she ever been that angry before? It seemed a little out of character for her, but that diary must've been very important to her...and you were the reason it was torn to shreds. Well, okay, it was actually Brads fault, but you were the one who got it torn up! You could've easily waited and just got help, but you had to prove you could. What a stupid move! If only you had-"Well..." Ginny began, interrupting your train of thought as you turned to face her. She seemed noticeably more calm, but still a hint of anger in her voice; you could tell she still seriously resented you for destroying what must be a prized possession. "You..."
