"I use a Polymerization card to fuse my Forgiving Maiden monster with Marie the Fallen One to create the mighty and valiant Saint Joan !!"
"Aaah no ! You fooled me, I didn't expect that at all ! This monster is damn too powerful for my Lava Battleguard !" Tristan Taylor said, surprised by his opponent tactical move.
In front of him, Serenity giggled, "And that's not all. Now I equip Saint Joan with the magic card 'Cestus of Dagla' which increase her ATK by 500 points, pushing it to 3300 !".
Serenity spent lot of time with Tristan, Joey's old friend, since she had left hospital after the operations that saved her eyes, many months ago. It was clear that Joey's over-protected sister appealed very much to Tristan and he didn't particularly hide it. Therefore, the boy often paid visit to her, sometimes taking advantage of meeting her brother to go see her.
Serenity was a girl incredibly sweet, compassionate and very beautiful but also terribly timid, shy and reserved. Due to her temperament, but also her grave disease that made her spend most of her childhood in hospital, far from her brother, she sadly didn't have many much friends.
After her surgery, she met Joey's comrades with which she quickly made friends with. And among them, she found more especially a really attached and touching friend in the person of Tristan, Joey's longest time friend but also the person who first came to support her, after her brother and when this latter had to go away to Battle City tournament, only a little time after the
beginning of the surgery operation to cure her disease.
In this way, these 2 people eventually found each other quite naturally.
It was, however, not sure that Serenity shared the same feelings towards Tristan, who had towards her more than just an honest feeling of friendship. It must be said that the young, cute and charming Serenity didn't left many males indifferent. Except maybe Bakura or Yugi.
But the first was too difficult to grasp anyway and the girls seemed not to be his first preoccupation, far from it. As for the second, Yugi, despite being so friendly, he seemed so impervious to more than just kind love.
And between Téa Gardner, Rebecca Hawkins and Vivian Wong, the poor boy was out of reach anyway. He had already
well enough "candidates" (whether or not he actually knew that) to have to worry about one more girl.
So, Tristan wasn't the only one to have deeper feelings for Joey's little sister. The famous Duke Devlin, creator of Dungeon Dice Monster and friend of Yugi and the others, also showed affection for her and didn't hide it too.
"Euhm....Well... It looks like you win...", said Tristan embarassed.
Once again, he lost at Duel Monsters against Serenity, even though she wasn't the greatest duellist ever.
Happy, Serenity laughed with her cute voice.
"Hihi ! I beat you again, Tristan !"
Tristan faked indifference, but he was still a little bored to loose against a novice. It didn't affect him that much, but his ego always felt hurt everytime it happened. He was definitively not very skilled at this game. But Serenity natural naivety play in his favour. Pretty often, the girl thought that Tristan was loosing on purpose, only to made her happy.
The boy having a great sense of sacrifice, it wouldn't have been false if he wasn't just really bad to produce efficient strategies to win.
Smiling at him, she said :
"You want to play another game, Tristan, or do something else ?"
