"Come on, little bro, you're gonna be late for your first day at your new school!", you hear Daisy cry out from downstairs. "Hurry up! I picked the cutest little outfit for you to wear!" Your sister seemed to be looking forward to this than you were, though that's not saying much. You hate school. You wish the sun could explode and burn down every school everywhere. That's how much you hate it. The kids in the last school you were at didn't treat you very well. It all started when it came time to introduce yourself. There you were, your brightly colored tie-dye shirt and purple shorts, already looking pretty girly, when you were asked your name. Rose Skylily. That was the name you were born with, for whatever cruel reason your weird parents thought of. The kids thought you were a girl until you told them you were a boy. At recess, one of the meaner boys thought it would be funny to make the girly boy cry, and discovered your condition. After that, the bullies had made you their personal seat cushion, among other things. Now that your family has moved away, you had a chance to start over. You had been wearing dark clothing and had been watching some darker cartoons for some time now. You had even picked out a new name to go by: Jake.
"Rosie, come down here already!"
It had yet to catch on with your sister and parents. After eating breakfast, rejecting your sister's outfit, and being driven to school, your big sister lead you to your class and somehow managed to not embarrass you.
"Now class, we have a new student today. I'd like you all to make Ro-"
"Jake", you said, interrupting the teacher as she introduced you to the class. "My name's Jake, ma'am."
The teacher thought for a moment and decided to go with it. She figured your name was a pretty big problem for you. "Alright Jake, I'd like you to take your seat in the empty desk beside..."
