Chapter #3

Crystal blacks out, waking up naked and confused.

    by: Unknown
Crystal woke with a powerful headache and a sense of loss. She brought her hands slowly, numbly, to her temples and propped her head slowly from where she was. She looked down with squinted vision and noticed she was naked. She was actually not cold, but was rather uncomfortable, as she was on some sort of cheap vinyl.

Where she was slowly came to her. The previous hours (possibly night) was still a blur, but she had vague memories of going back outside to their humble, never used tour bus in an attempt to go home, though it did not explain where her clothes had gone.

She panicked. Waking naked was fine in her own home, or in the home of her friends, but she was outside someplace, in a nearly empty tour bus, and she was not even sure if she had the keys with her. She looked out the window next to her and noted she was outside, and it was morning. She was high up enough no one would notice her in the street, but that was where she was - in some street somewhere, stranded.

"Hello?" She called, looking up and down the bus. There were two long seats, then the two front seats. There was space to keep things underneath each seat, as well as in the compartments above. They would use the bus to carry equipment to shows, though they had not actually traveled beyond their city - this last show was to change just that, and it was going to, but right now, it was a stalling equipment carrier.

Knowing they were once at Aimee's she looked outside to see if perhaps her house was close by. There was no luck. Someone, hopefully not herself, had driven the bus halfway to Crystal's apartment before stopping at the side of a residential road.

She heard a buzz, and looked frantically for her phone. She found it underneath a seat and put it to her ear. "H-Hello?" She said. The voice responding cut into her headache.

"Hey, Crystal! Where you at?" It was Allison.

"In the bus." Crystal groaned.

"What? Are you on your way, then?"

"On my way?"

"You didn't read the texts yet? Ugh! Did you just wake up?"

Crystal pulled her phone from her face to glance at it. It was eleven in the morning. "No. What's going on? What happened?"

"Pfff!" Allison laughed on the other end. "Hey, I got to get ready, but I'll tell ya real fast - you need to get to the garage! Jen's already there sobering up, and I think Aimee is on her way, but she didn't answer. We're getting a visit! Maybe you don't remember, but we got a call last night from an agent! You even took the call and everything, but passed it to Jen halfway through."

"Wait, please, tell me what happened last night."

"I dunno what you did the whole time, but around midnight we drew straws who would have to spend the night at the garage to wait for the agents at noon. Jen had to do it, and Aimee drove you two there. She wasn't near as plastered as us." Allison laughed in a memory. "I went to another bar, but it wasn't as fun without you guys so I crashed at home. Jen sent us all texts as a reminder. I really need to get up, though. Give Aimee a call, would you? She hasn't answered yet."

"O-okay, but," Crystal started, but Allison gave a loud yawn and spoke again.

"Alright, cool, see you there!" And the line hung up.

Crystal looked at her phone. Quickly, she dialed Aimee, but there was no answer. Instead, she got a text that read, "Still asleep. Are you okay?"

Crystal felt her head jump with desperation, but remembered Aimee was not keen on the phone - she always felt very awkward. As calm as she could, she texted Aimee. "I'm still in the bus. Where did you leave me?"

Luckily, Aimee was fast at responding. "You insisted you could get back yourself, since you would need the bus to get to the garage today. Did you not remember? Are you alright?"

Crystal looked around. She was naked, not sure where she was, and not feeling alright at all. In one hour, she had to make it to a their practice room, a large studio garage behind a residential neighborhood, but she did not have a single stitch of clothing on her, and no one else seemed to note she had lost her clothing. Apprehensively, she texted back.

"I am missing some of my stuff. Do you know where it went?"

"You accidentally spilled stuff on your concert clothes and gave them to me to throw in the wash. Should I check if you left anything in them? Did they have pockets? I'm sorry."

Aimee always worried and apologized, so Crystal quickly replied, "no, it's fine, there probably isn't anything in them." Aimee would not have left Crystal naked driving home, however. She must have done this to herself at some point, but was unsure just how.
