Tifa and Aeris were Yuffie's friends, no question. From time to time, friends got upset or jealous with each other, and sometimes these tensions could manifest in certain ways. By and large, it depended on the nature of the tension. As it was, Yuffie's point of contention with her friends was rather shallow.
Yuffie wasn't devoid of curves, but her figure didn't hold a candle to that of Tifa or even Aeris. Whenever the group showed up in a town or trading outpost, it was always the fighter and the flower girl that got the second looks and stares. At first, Yuffie didn't mind, and was even happy that they were the objects of such lustful look rather than herself. After a while, however, Yuffie's mind turned to resentment. The lack of stares thrown the ninja's way started to feel like rejection, like she wasn't good enough! It was a ridiculous notion, sure, but a jealous mind has a way of twisting logic and reason.
It was time to knock Aeris and Tifa down a peg or three, and Yuffie knew just how to do it. If people wanted to look at them rather than her, then let them look, and look hard. Nobody would want to miss the show Yuffie had in store! And to think, the plan was honestly so very simple. The first, and most important, phase was as simple as-
