Helen arrived at work one Tuesday morning looking a little 'giddy', which was odd. Helen was quiet, good natured and had a good relationship with all of her co-workers, and she rarely appeared overly excited about anything. "Hi Liz." She greeted her supervisor, who was directing Steven at the front of the store, showing him how to build a window display. Liz returned her smile and waved, then continued her discussion with Steven.
Helen proceeded through the door leading upstairs and passed Elizabeth on the way. "Morning." She chirped, and her manager returned the greeting. Of course Helen had good reason to feel full of herself, following last night's 'incident' involving a spell from a book of witchcraft she was reading. The spell, which Helen had thought wouldn't work, actually gave her the ability to switch around people's body parts. She tried it on her husband and was astonished to discover that he didn't realize anything, even when she swapped their chests and made him carry her D-cup breasts around for a couple of hours.
And now here Helen was, at work, and back to normal of course. Being 44 years old, Helen was mature and well behaved... usually. But having such a unique power made her feel a bit like a teenager again, wanting to cause mischief. She tried to keep these feelings in check, but it was getting harder to do so.
"Morning Helen luv." Andrea greeted her friend as she walked into the tea room upstairs.
Helen waved, then looked around the room. The familiar faces were all there, ready to start work, all except Steven and Liz, who were already downstairs. Helen just had time to make herself a cup of tea and drink it before she had to head back downstairs to work with everyone else.
As she expected, Helen was told by Liz to help fill the shelves on the toiletries aisles with Nicola. She had no objections, Helen liked Nicola a lot, since they were in the same age group, they could chat about a lot of things they had in common while working. But today, Helen's mind would be on something else, maybe trying out her powers on her unsuspecting co-workers. Where's the harm in having a little fun? She thought.
Helen tried to keep her giddyness under control as she worked, but her eyes were everywhere, watching her friends work around her.
