Stepping off the bus outside Wilko, Liam looked up at the facade of the building. He hated having to work, and normally dreaded coming in, as he was sure that pretty much everyone disliked him because of the way he worked.... or didn't work. Yet he didn't care, especially now that he had a small portable device that could swap people's traits around. For once he was actually looking forward to starting his shift.
"Hey dude." Liam greeted Aaron, who was just handing the driver of the delivery truck his paperwork so he could leave.
"Hey." Aaron grunted his response. He never was one for enthusiastic greetings, even with people he didn't mind.
Liam decided any further verbal exchanges with Aaron would be a waste of time, and so he walked out of the Goods In area and onto the shop floor, where he immediately saw Rebekah and Mona working on the toiletries aisle, stacking shelves with shampoo and other hair products. He didn't bother saying anything to them either, and instead made his way towards the Customer Service Desk. The shop was closed so there were no customers in the store, much to Liam's relief. If there was one thing he hated more than working, it was dealing with customer complaints and questions.
Glancing down past the Help Desk towards the Paint aisle Liam saw Shaun shifting some tins of paint. Rob was supposed to be helping him but didn't seem to be doing a lot. Not that Liam could criticize without being a hypocrite.
Liz was on the computer behind the Help Desk, checking tomorrow's delivery schedule, and she looked up long enough to see Liam. "Hello Liam." She said quietly, making an effort to be nice. She was the supervisor after all and had to treat all her staff equal.
"Hey." Liam responded, idly waving at her.
And behind Liz, putting some posters up in the windows, was Steven. He was stood on a ladder and making sure the poster he had was level before adhering the suction cups to the glass.
Liam correctly assumed that everyone else was upstairs and hadn't started work yet. And that was where he had to go, to put his coat and bag away in a locker before starting work himself. He observed Steven and Liz for about a minute longer and then went upstairs.
Five minutes later, everyone was on the shop floor working, and Liam... well he was wondering who to use his 'toy' on first.
