Rebekah was never really sure how she got the device. At the time she found it, she had just returned to her apartment and was unpacking the evening groceries. She was quite curious when she found a black, remote-like device wedged between a box of cereal and a bag of candy.
She was even more surprised when she read the label on the top: "Genital swapper." Further looking it over, all she could find was a switch that revolved between "awareness" and "no awareness" and a big button in the middle.
Of course, Rebekah was quite skeptical of the devices functions at first. However, her doubts were laid to rest when she experimentally aimed it at a young couple outside her window. She was quick to switch them back of course, after all, she didn't think the advice actually worked. She knew that things could get really chaotic if she just abused the device, so she just stored it away, and continued normally on the day. She could think of it later...

Next day was work, as usual. As she left the apartment, she found her eyes drawn to the device. Such a device was just too exciting not to at least examine, so she slipped the device into her pocket.
Ten minutes later, she was at the store, working with others to set it up for a day of business. Even with the work, her mind kept going to the device in her bag. It might be kind of cool to use it just a couple times, for the experience and to fulfill some curiosity. After all, if she flipped the awareness switch, its not like anyone would know.
Or maybe, she could talk to someone, maybe they could give her some advice.
