Marge is surprised, between Homer and Bart there are never left overs, in fact rarely is there enough for her. There must be something going on, some shenanigan of the week that they are up to, or perhaps she really did just make so much that even they could not eat it all, either way this is a rare treat for her.
With the kids put to bed and Homer off to Moe's Tavern she can sit down and actually eat enough to feel full.
She lays the meal out before her, jeeze there really is a lot here, but no worry, whatever she doesn't eat she can use as left overs tomorrow, and so she digs in happy to enjoy this moment of peace to herself between the usual states of chaos her household is in.
She eats and eats and eats, though she feels full she is enjoying herself too much to stop and just eats even more. So rare is it that she gets to just treat herself she is getting a little carried away. Eventually though she has managed to eat the entire meal and is bloated like never before. She feels so heavy and lethargic but at the same time content and happy. She slowly makes her way upstairs and pours herself a bath, lights some candles and gets a nice book.
She's already indulged this far, why not pamper herself just a little bit further, it'll help the stomach pain settle.
By the time homer comes home drunk as always, Marge has gone to bed feeling content like never before. She thinks to herself "this was wonderful, perhaps i should treat myself more often" and closes her eyes relaxed, happy, and still stuffed to the brim.
The next day...
1. Marge Continues to indulge herself throughout the day, she deserves it.
2. Homer and Bart's subdued appetite is part of this week's plot and marge finds even more food left over.
