"Er, hang on Nicky, I think you forgot to give me some money..." You turn back around to your ex girlfriend.
She stares at you, a little in disbelief. "Oh, you can get it. Right?"
Swallowing thickly, you decide that you won't be taken advantage of like this. "Nicky, this is a few hundred dollars - it's not fair to expect me to pay for all of this!" Sure, you want her to forgive you, but you can't be exploited like this.
"Well, thanks a lot," the redhead says sardonically. "You're really here to help me out."
"Nicky, listen..."
"No, you listen!" She suddenly yells at you, her eyes wide with rage. "You come back into my life and claim you'll help me. You think that some groceries are a big deal? Try comparing that to breaking someone's fucking heart! Destroying their confidence so they don't want to leave their own apartment! You really are a piece of shit."
It would be tempting to back down and agree to buy her the groceries. But what then? You forking out your hard-earned cash to pay for Nicky's food, to do her errands. Watching her spit out this bile with so much venom at you makes you remember that you are a decent person. You should not be treated like this, just because of what happened six years ago!
"Nicky, you're being completely unreasonable. Yeah, I felt guilty for what happened those years ago. But you're taking advantage of me if you expect me to pay for groceries," you tell her calmly. "Now, I am sorry for what happened - I was a piece of shit to do that to you. But I'm not now. It's not fair to expect to exploit me because of that."
Looking a bit taken aback, you think for a moment that she'll break down and cry in front of you. However a steely look washes over her and she glares at you. "Whatever. Just do what you're best at - leaving me."
Realising that there's no reasoning with her, you leave her be. Maybe one day you can be friends with her, but not with the current mindset she has.
The episode with Nicky does something very positive with you. It makes you realise that you do want to be the best possible boyfriend, and not someone who gets taken advantage of. With that in mind, you call Lizzie and 'fess up to her about your fetish, about Tora's message...she takes it well, which is a massive weight of your shoulders. Next, you send Tora a message, explaining to her that your girlfriend knows all about your fetish, so she can share it with anyone she wants. She replies, threatening to post it online, to which you again aren't phased by.
Heading over to Lizzie, you feel hopeful, confident. Having a foot fetish is not something for you to be ashamed or embarrassed about around your girlfriend; the important thing is that you're a good person and deserve happiness, not being humiliated and exploited!
