Thomas quickly thought it over. As much as he wanted to explored the parlor and basement, he was much more curious about what the 'outdoor' garden looked like. How in the world were they going to make a garden scary.
"I'll go with Jill to the garden," Thomas stated.
As soon as he said it, he started to regret how he worded it. In his excited and curious state, he had briefly forgotten that he, Jill, Melissa, and Rachel are in the middle of a love square. All three girls had huge crushes on him, and he had crushes on them. He doesn't remember when he developed crushes for the girls or they developed feelings for him. He was going to have to ask them to remind him. What he does remember is that they all confessed their feeling on this past Valentine's Day and how he couldn't make a decision on who to date. So they decide to enter an unofficial relationship with him. He would be allowed to "date" each of them until he made a decision. They also promised not to have any hatred or jealousy towards one another.
Despite this promise, there were moments where girls did feel small amounts of jealousy towards each other. Because of this, Thomas usually tries his best to avoid upsetting the girls or making them think he has chosen. He was afraid that by choosing to go with Jill, he would make Rachel and Melissa jealous and upset.
Fortunately, when he scanned the group's faces, he saw that wasn't the case. Jill had smiled but mostly seemed indifferent. Rachel was still too excited to visited the basement that she didn't seem to care. Melissa looked upset, but this was very obvious that it was because she would have to go through the parlor all alone.
Jack, who was in a long-distance relationship, smiled mischievously and said " Aww! Poor little Melissa has to go through the scary house alone. Need a hug."
" Shut up!" Melissa retorted " I am not scared and I don't need anyone!"
" Jeez, calm down. I'm just joking," Jack chuckled as he raised his hands in a surrendering manner. "Well, I believe it is time for us to split. See y'all on the other side."
Jack and Rachel then went down the left stairway with excitement still on the faces. Melissa stood there for a little bit trembling and turning pale. She gave Thomas and Jill a quick glance and faced the parlor again. She took a deep breath and then walked through the main doors. The doors then quickly closed behind her.
"To the gardens," Jill said before walking towards the right door. Jack followed her close behind.
As soon as they walked through the door, they immediately saw how big the 'outdoor' garden has. It has almost as big as the house. Despite the night setting, they could see mostly well. They were so mesmerized by the size of the room that they didn't even register that the door behind them closed. From what they could see so far, there appeared to some sort of hedge maze, a large greenhouse, and some sort of garden walking path. Thomas was pretty sure they could find other pathways if they continued looking.
" So where should we go first?" Jill asked as she turned to face Thomas.
