Suddenly you remember you have to babysit in 10 minutes, the house isn't far so you subconsciously stick the ray into your back pocket as you grab your wallet and other essentials completely forgetting about it.
You make it to the house in record timing just as Mrs. Alma (the soman you're babysitting for) is leaving "Oh thank goodness you're here, now just remember, the girls have to be in bed by 12 O clock, and again, thank you so much for doing this for me I have a really urgent conference I simply cannot miss!" you wave goodbye as Mrs. Alma gets in her car and speeds off.
You walk up the steps towards the door of the apartment building and step inside, in bed by 12:00? It's 6:00 right now so that leaves you with another six hours before you can leave if all goes according to plan and the girls don't stay up, but who knows, maybe the girls are nice.
As you step into the living room the sound of country music and childish giggling fills your ears and the smell of snacks and lipstick fill your nose.
You turn the corner and then you see them, there are four girls, three of them are ten years old and one is nine, the first, Mrs. Alma's daughter Melanie Alma is ten years old and wearing a Barbie night gown and has her short brown hair tucked into a ponytail behind her head, she looks friendly enough but also looks like she could be really mean if provoked.
The next two ten yead olds are Sherry Ting and Scarlett White, Sherry is asian and has her black hair straight down to just below her shoulders, Sherry looks nice but forgetful or clumsy as she's just spilled her 2nd pop already, Scarlett has bright blonde hair tied into a bun on the back of her head, she strikes you as a complete drama queen aiming to be the center of everyone's attention as you've heard her say "Hey look at this!" nearly five times already.
Lastly is the nine year old Chelsea Briggs, she just looks completely innocent, she has orange-ish hair tied into a ponytail behind her head.
The girls are all 4'8 in height except for Scarlett who is 4'10
"Alright girls... I'm here to babysit you today, just behave and I'll let you do your own thing. You announce getting the attention of all of the girls while they put on make-up, they all just nod and go back to what they were doing, you can probably just use your phone for the rest of your time here and stop them if they start doing something stupid.
As you sit down in a chair in the corner you feel something digging into your back and suddenly you remember, you still have the shrink ray!
Looking back up at the girls you shake your head, should you really use it here of all places? Looking back down at the shrinkray, the possibilities are nearly endless, you could just shrink yourself and explore the house from a new perspective rather than exploring the girls, you haven't tried the ray out on humans yet, you aim the gun at yourself and squeeze the trigger for around five seconds.
The girls are too busy doing makeup, snacking, and watching TV to notice, you stand up and look around, everything is only slightly bigger than normal, you've shrunk from 5'6 to just 5'0, before you had a noticable height difference between you in the girls but you are now 2 inches taller than Scarlett and 4 more than everyone else.
You quickly sit down so the girls don't notice your obvious height loss although they've only known you for minutes so they might assume that you were 5'0 before.
You suddenly get an idea, you could play a joke on the girls and shrink yourself by two inches every 10 minutes, you could alternatively just shrink yourself and explore the house or go towards one of the girls.
