You take a look around and say "Well, here goes nothing. Hope this doesn't hurt." You put the nozzle up to your chest and pull the trigger. A strong blue beam shoots out of the gun, striking you hard. It feels almost as if a fist full of energy had punched you in the chest, knocking all the wind out of you. You drop to your knees, dropping the gun in the process. A tingling sensation goes through your entire body and you watch in amazement as your walls and furniture start moving farther and farther away. It worked! You're actually getting smaller! The sensation continues until you are no bigger than 2 inches tall. "Holy shit, i'm tiny! This is incredible! Look at the size of my desk! And the TV! And the... size ray." Crap. It didn't shrink down with you.
You slump your arms, immediately comiing to the conclusion that you have no way of getting back to normal. You look at the gigantic gun knowing that there is no way you can operate that all by your tiny little self. Not to mention the fact that you left your phone on your desk next to your computer, so you are really up a creek. You look around the room for a bit, still marveling at how big everything looks from your shrunken perspective. You realize that if you wanted to, there could probably be a way for you to get up to the counter where your phone is to get help. Using it would be another problem in itself, but you could at least try to make it up to there. Not to mention you look off to your side and see some clothes leftover from the last time your girlfriend stayed the night. God knows you could have a lot of fun with those for the time being. So you shrug your shoulders and think "Well... there's no point in worrying about how to get back to normal. I'll figure something out. Besides, i've got some exploring to do while i'm this size!"
