Allie hated the thought of letting a stranger into her house, especially under the current circumstances, but she knew she couldn't just turn this man away in the middle of a blizzard and monster outbreak. He could very well die if left on his own, either from the wound, the cold, or whatever was lurking around the town...
"Come on in, just don't track any snow in the house and try to keep quiet. I'll see what I can scrounge up." Allie said as she pulled the door open, careful to keep her knife out of sight. "Thank you, ma'am. You may have just save my life." the man replied as he followed her into the living room. "My name is Jared, by the way."
"Allie. I live here alone." Allie replied back as she snuck a quick look at the ceiling. Best not to tell him about her son without at least learning a little more about what kind of person he is. "Have a seat on the sofa, I'll just be a minute." Jared nodded and did as he was told while Allie walked off towards the kitchen.
A few minutes later she returned with a small plastic case about the size of a cigar box and sat it down on the table. "I'm no brain surgeon, but I know first aid and the basics." Allie said as she opened the case and took out some small bottles along with a roll of bandages and some sanitized wipes. "Let me see your shoulder."
"This gonna hurt?" Jared said with a slight giggle. "Only like hell." Allie replied back with a nervous smile. Without warning she then pressed a small cloth with disinfectant onto Jared's shoulder and held it in place. Best to get the painful part out of the way as soon as possible. Jared let out a muffled groan and squirmed a bit, but managed to keep his composure as Allie began to fix up his bite and wrap some clean bandages around it.
"Now is my chance to ask him a few questions." Allie thought to herself. "But what should I ask about...?"
